I liked the “43,000 votes were found last night.” That must be in Trump’s favorite wish fulfillment dream, where Georgia finds the 11,780 and then other states chime in with ten thousand here and there.
I was surprised that they didn’t claim all the Afghan refugees had COVID. I was seriously waiting for that. Maybe next segment.

As usual, Trump has it backwards. The Afghans will resettle the red states only AFTER enough of the local idiots are too dead or crippled from COVID to be much of a threat…or so the conspiracy theories will eventually go. I look for that one and how COVID was a bio-weapon to kill off Republicans to be the final answers to the world coming at them.
I’d rather have the refugees than the MAGAts. The refugees genuinely want to be here and working.

So, I think I need some of whatever Dan Ball’s doing (smoking, injecting, inhaling, swallowing, drinking) because he’s seriously off the wall with this “claim.”
Hasn’t he been paying attention to all those “red states” legislatures and their new rules and laws passed in just the past 6 months or so that make it HARDER for people to vote? How in the hell does he think a bunch of refugees being sent to the “red states” are even going to be able to vote not to mention pretty much every state limits voting to CITIZENS–and citizenship takes a number of years to achieve. Few, if any, of the Afghan refugees will qualify for citizenship so they can even think of casting a ballot before 2030–MAYBE a few might become citizens in time to vote in 2028 but if they’re spread out over even 20 states, they won’t make enough of a difference.
And it’s also funny that Ball sort of forgets that HIS GUEST was wholly responsible for these refugees in the first place. If TRUMP and his Secretary of Stupid–er, State–hadn’t gone behind the Afghan government’s back and held talks with the Taliban last year, promising to pull out US troops by May of this year, there wouldn’t be a refugee crisis. (Or did Trump and Pompeo simply think all those Afghans who are currently fleeing would accept coming under Taliban control more willingly three months ago than we’ve seen in the past week? Trump, of course, could be excused since he was probably looking forward to getting a Nobel Peace Prize after being hailed for ending the Afghan War but Pompeo should’ve had more sense to realize what kind of shit deal he was getting in dealing with the Taliban–AND what would happen after US troops were out of the country.)
No way we’d do that to those poor souls. Might as well send them to the taliban in Texas. Enjoy raising the child we force you to have, although u were gang raped. Oh, & don’t ask for citizenship, food stamps, child care, clean air, a bullet proof backpack, heat in a snowstorm, & so on. Pick urself & that little bastard up by ur bootstraps. This is America. What is sort of funny is that Trump is racist and crazy, but he’s like 10% correct in this rant. In past refugee crises, they tend to move to areas with inexpensive housing, and they tend to permanently align with the political party of the president they credit with the migration opportunity. A ton of Cambodian refugees came here in the 1980s (as any Disney Sunday night movie kid can tell you) and settled mostly in the South. They voted heavily Republican for many years, but something happened and they were aligned with other Asian American groups by the time Obama ran for re-election.
If 10k Afghanistan refugees move to Georgia and vote supermajority Democratic, that could be meaningful.
But yeah…he’s just using that grain of truth to spew racism. I get that.
