How I wish I knew how they came to embrace Trump as their savior. I know how Trump came to be in their lives, that’s been documented. Ted Cruz was losing the nomination and so the religious fanatics had to move fast. David Barton, who is a faux historian and who runs a religious university in Texas spoke with James Dobson. Dobson has a religious radio following and is greatly admired by Mike Pence.
Dobson and Barton decided that Dobson would announce that Donald Trump had been “saved” and he did that in Trump Tower around June of 2016. That’s when “baby Christian” Trump was asked what his favorite biblical verse was and couldn’t quote any. Trump was just fine with this new mantle of baby Christian, like he was just fine when he was advised that he needed to become pro-life. Whatever got the job done, right?
Point being, the synopsis I just gave you was readily available as far back as 2016 and has been amplified in the many books about the Dreamsickle Diety. But for reasons nobody understands, the evangelicals really went overboard on Trump. Would they have done this for Ted Cruz? I guess we’ll never know.

I’ve spoken to people whose so called religious families love him simply because of his phony stance on abortion as if nothing else matters. These are the same people who insist every fertilized zygote must be born but then want to deny those very children basic necessities to live a decent life. I would love to know if there are any women out there who had abortions financed by him but with the stigma attached, they could never come forward.
