God knows I’m as much in favor of the First Amendment as anyone in this world, but when that amendment allows a right-wing commentator to act as the agent in fact for a Russian dictator currently at war with one of our allies, then me thinks that we need to take a sharp look at the situation.

Tucker Carlson went on the air a few nights ago and accused the United States government of sabotaging the Nord Stream Pipeline. This was backed up by, who else, Donald Trump and Marjorie Taylor Greene (could that have been the bridge too far for husband Perry?)

In all events, Carlson didn’t just promulgate a conspiracy theory, he went on to suggest how Russia could sabotage the United States, in retaliation for said non existent act of aggression by severing underseas cables between New York and London, wreaking financial havoc.  All of the Russian media channels went bonkers. They think it’s the best thing since sliced borscht. This runs about seven minutes, commentary on cutting underseas cables, as Carlson suggested, starts about five minutes in.

Isn’t there a word for giving aid and comfort to the enemy? Oh yeah, treason. If Carlson isn’t a traitor and this isn’t treason, then I don’t know what is. Most likely the founding fathers didn’t anticipate that we would ever have a device such as television, coupled with a complete erosion of moral values, which would allow a guy like Carlson to literally go on the airwaves and sell out the country, and get paid big bucks for it.

I’m pretty sure that the founding fathers worked off of a presumption that people of good will, who loved America, would be debating the issues of the day. They probably didn’t anticipate a time when a man born with a silver spoon in his mouth would become a propagandist just for shits and giggles and that a dictator on the other side of the world would encourage him.

Putin is insane. He’s losing the war he’s in, but he’s planning on expanding it at the same time, and rattling nuclear sabers. New York Times:

The Kremlin announced that it would hold a ceremony on Friday to begin absorbing four Ukrainian territories, pressing ahead with a widely condemned annexation effort even as Ukrainian forces gain ground in some of those areas.

President Vladimir V. Putin will deliver a “voluminous” speech, his spokesman said on Thursday, seeking to ignore his military’s struggles in Ukraine, rising domestic dissent and worldwide denunciations of referendums in the occupied regions, where some were made to vote at gunpoint.

Even though Russia has failed to fully control the four territories it seeks to annex despite months of bloody fighting, the Kremlin was preparing a show designed to present a sheen of legitimacy to its illegal takeover. The authorities in Moscow put up billboards and a giant video screen in Red Square and announced road closures for Friday. State media described it as preparations for a rally and concert “in support of the outcome of the referendums.”

The annexation move has been greeted with international condemnation, and Ukraine has essentially ignored the Kremlin’s plans. Russian officials have spoken of defending their claims to the annexed territory by any means, a hint at the potential use of nuclear weapons.

It’s speculated that China and India, Putin’s allies, will keep him from going off the deep end and using nuclear weapons. The fact of the matter is that we’re in a situation where Putin is proving everyday that he’s as unstable as the fictional character General Jack D. Ripper in Dr. Strangelove.

That would be bad enough in and of itself but Fox News being on the wrong side of this conflict and normalizing treason in America is only making a bad situation terrible.

  2. There is one good suspect for who shutdown the Nord Streamline pipeline. That would be Russia. Why? Because they’ve done it before. Putin is pissed at most of the EU and winter’s coming, if he can fuck with them by doing it, why not?

  3. If reports of Pootie’s health are correct, I wonder if he feels like using nukes and destroying the planet is just fine because he’s dying anyway. He and frump are turds in the same toilet – they’ll destroy everything and everyone to feed their egos.
