OUR government or even rogue elements at say the CIA aren’t the ones Trump has to worry about. He’s beholden to a certain dictator who is himself coming unglued, and one who has had plenty of people that have pissed him off killed. More than a few times on foreign soil. Putin’s “problem” is that part of him would want Trump himself but the rest of us “know” it was his doing. However as I said he’s got his own problems right now but he has been known to sanction assassinations well-staged enough to plausibly be deemed accidents or natural causes. With just enough signature to allow for not-entirely-tinfoil-hat “guess who?” speculation. Pulling off that level of thing would be tough with a former President even for Putin’s people. But I wouldn’t be surprised if he had a “wet works” team working on it.

To those in the know, Rudy never had a good reputation. As US Attorney at SDNY, he didn’t do any lawyering. He did take credit for all the hard work of his line prosecutors. As Mayor of NYC, he was not beloved, that was a media narrative sent out to the country after 9/11. Look at the type of people he surrounded himself with, i.e. Bernie Kerik. He was also responsible for the racist “stop and frisk” program w/NYPD. Everyone thinks he suddenly became a joke when he tried to strong-arm Ukraine w/Lev and Igor. But actually, due to the more intense scrutiny of the global press, he was finally seen as the idiot he has always been, albeit w/a more profound alcohol problem than was earlier known.
As for someone taking out TFG, I’m w/Denis. Putin is more likely to rid himself of this useless idiot than anyone in the States that is not part of the cult. We prefer prosecution to assassination.
And if Putin did take out tRump, he could really blow up this country and spark that civil war we keep hearing about by making it look like the left/CIA/FBI/antifa/you name it, did it. It serves his interests/ego by keeping us riled up and at each other’s throats. My own suspicion is that a lot of the right-wing groups get funding and direction from Russia, like the Proud Boys and their ilk. I would prefer that tRump spend the rest of his days locked away from the rest of the world with no phone/computer/TV access. No visitors would be ideal.
