I actually will do something I’ve never done before, I’m going to compliment Matt Gaetz. He’s telling the truth for once. I admire honesty above all else, and for once we’re hearing that from the mouth of Matt Gaetz. It’s a first, so far as I know.

Gaetz was talking on one of his favorite venues, War Room, and he said out loud what you and I have known for years, which is: the GOP has no policies and doesn’t want to be bothered with a platform. All that they stand for is negativity and nihilism.

Watch Gaetz reveal the Republican id. We saw it emerge when Trump was nominated and now they don’t even bother to hide it. Which is refreshing, actually.

Who cares about policy when there’s revenge to be had? I mean, really? What, you think congress members are sent there to make life better for the people who elected them? Hell no! You’ve got it all wrong! It takes effort and skill to build something and zero skill and little effort to destroy. They’re there to burn it all down. That’s Bannon’s motto, it’s very apropos it should be revealed on his show.

Now McCarthy will still make his feckless, anemic attempt to put lipstick on Newt Gingrich’s porcine Contract With America, but everybody knows that’s going nowhere, probably Gingrich and McCarthy included. But it will provide some kind of a fig leaf, maybe, about what the GOP is really about, while Gaetz and Jordan and all the klan show everybody who they really are, and persecute Trump’s enemies. That’s as simple as it gets.

Bread and circus. That’s what the GOP has to offer. Political theater, performative assholery. That is what you are going to see come the fall, God forbid the Republicans retake the House.

You just heard it from the horse’s ass. What more do you need?

  1. I’m reminded of William Seward’s (Lincoln’s Secretary of State) description of releasing the Emancipation Proclamation before a Union victory: “the last shriek on the retreat.” Then again, Matty Boy’s pathetic huffing also reminds me of Steve Bannon’s more defiant statements of late too.

  2. Well…when you commit statutory rape, traffic young women across state lines, and acknowledge your guilt by asking for a pardon…well wouldn’t you talk about anything else to get that stink off???

      • I think we all do. When the law doesn’t apply to people of wealth, position, celebrity, etc., i.e. doesn’t apply to everyone, you have an authoritarian regime or the beginning stages of anarchy. I don’t know which our country will go to or if it will start toward one thing and end up another but if we don’t get a handle on the “the law is for thee and not for me” bullshit mentality, we will lose it all. You can’t have civilized society unless everyone plays by the same rules. You can see this by observing the cracks in our society and what is causing them. The magats, ku kluckers, and the other domestic terrorist groups see that everyone is not treated the same by the law and they are taking advantage it.

        • This is reality spike.
The Washington Post reported Friday that Gaetz—who has repeatedly denied wrongdoing—will unlikely faces charges because of “credibility” questions with two witnesses involved in the case.

  3. I wonder if the NYC Law coming after Trump by name and with family for punishment and the tons of evidence accumulated by virtually ALL districts and units of the IRS, FBI, DOJ coming to light as well, will make Trump’s knees buckle or will he just have to be incarcerated in a mental illness facility, where you are guilty of serious crimes against the country but too stupid to be tried … Then, for His own protection and ours as well, keep him locked up until He becomes cognizant and able to understand why his $1.50 bullet was set aside, and he can pay later …

Naw, He will always be Trump-the-STUPID, his supposed adult children, may survive 10-20 years of vacation … Don-2, will have to go through hell to get off drugs, Ivanka and hubby will have to send kids to special care with Grand parents, Eric … What can you say, the whole family should live in a shack on Snake Island, with supplies and old copies of “The art of the Deal”, maybe enough of those to set against the doors and windows to keep the snakes from coming through the cracks …
