Joe Biden is running for reelection. Donald Trump went out of his way to trash Biden hours before the 4:00 a.m. PT release of the short video you’re about to see.
In these two commentaries, you see the difference between the two candidates and as cliched as it sounds to say “night and day” that is actually the most accurate description that can be made of these two missives.
Biden’s message is positive, upbeat, “Let’s finish this job, together.” Trump’s message is nothing short of apocalyptic. Twice in his “statement” he mentions nuclear war, once saying that Iran is “days away” from being a nuclear power and the other that WWIII is imminent.
There’s an old expression, “begin as you intend to proceed” and if the beginnings of these two campaigns are indications of what lies ahead — and I believe that they both are — it’s going to be surreal. But then with Donald Trump the presumptive GOP nominee, what oh what else could you expect?
One man has a vision for America, the other guy’s trying to stay out of the slammer. We have never had a “choice” like this before in American politics, not even in 2016 and not even in 2020.
It’s standard operating procedure in elections to present your guy as the saint and dwell on the perfidy of the other one, but in this case, who needs strategy or to make anything up? Just count the number of lawsuits where Trump is a defendant and that pretty much tells the story.
Let’s keep a keen eye on Fox News and see which GOP candidate they support for 2024. That will be very telling.
I just had a discussion with a couple of 20 something college graduates. They said something about Biden’s age. You know I couldn’t let that pass. I pointed out the decision is between fascism and democracy and trump will end our democracy and is a peer to Biden. I told them it’s ALWAYS a binary choice so don’t do something stupid and do a ‘Jill stein’ protest vote. These are educated people who are COMPLETELY CLUELESS! No wonder the blue collar voters are so easily led around by the nose. The democrats need to play hardball and meet this crap with as much ferocity as the fascists.
I swear Trump.is on bad drugs. He cannot say anything positive about anything or anyone but himself.

For much of the past year four writers have been the primary contributors to PZ. A handful of folks like me will kick in one or two articles in a given month. Of our feature writers, well, life happens. Cut our feature writers some slack. It’s damned heard work doing the monitoring of events and research necessary to craft a good article.
