This is a great tutorial from somebody who was there in the Senate when Mitch McConnell was abusing the filibuster. McConnell filibustered more nominees during the Obama years than had previously been filibustered in the history of the United States. But for his abuse, we wouldn’t be having this dialogue right now. Franken was there and now he’s talking about it.
I miss Al Franken a lot. I’m glad that even though he’s no longer a senator he’s still in the public eye and participating in public life.
Yes, Al, we do trust you.
I trust him too.
Not only do I trust him, I like him too! Shame he got railroaded out.
This!
He’s incredible intelligent and I was pissed when he was demonized over a staged photo from decades ago. And yet, here’s party boy sex trafficking’s Gaetz, poster boy for GOP morality and ethics!
I trust him as well. Darn, I’d like him back in office!
I second, third, fourth the above. He’s a good guy, shouldn’t have gotten railroaded over some juvenile set-up photos, has always used intelligence and humor when questioning candidates/witnesses during hearings, and I trust him!
Yes, my fellow Minnosotan is a mensch. Miss him, and glad he’s out there still.
