More will be written about the ending of this farcical administration as the day goes on. Donald Trump is on his way to Florida now. By the time he touches down he may still be president for a few more minutes or the torch may have passed by then, I’m not sure of the exact timing of Trump’s arrival. It’s only important because he might get in one last shot before the spotlight goes dim. In all events, the plane full of “grievances and grudges” as Jake Tapper put it is aloft and here is a film clip showing the stark difference between how all other administrations have changed power and how the child in child refused to admit defeat — but ginned up his rabble to destroy the capitol and threaten Mike Pence’s life, instead.

Another first with Trump, is that unlike other presidents who have gone back to private life with America’s best wishes — other than Richard Nixon, arguably —  we still have a great deal of unfinished business with Trump. The issue of the presidential briefs has not been resolved and the impeachment trial is coming in the Senate. So we’ll be dealing with Trump for a while, not to mention Trumpism. The GOP is split into the red and orange tribes and America is a hotbed of unrest as a result.

  2. America has been constipated. But simple surgery took care of the major problem. The main obstruction is gone. Now to flush out the dregs.

      • I’m still furious at Cunningham. That worthless waste of human flesh Tillis was ripe for the taking but Cunningham let his “little head” take over his thinking. I believed all along that the encouraging numbers for both Biden and Cunningham were skewed and that although both would win it would be close as it was with Cooper last time. Cooper actually won by a larger margin which reinforces my belief that Cunningham cost himself that Senate seat, and probably took Biden down to defeat here as well. At least we have a shot at Burr’s seat in two years but it will be a dogfight even if Burr sticks to his intention to retire and it’s an open seat.

        • True. They’re both part of the rump train, just smart enough to keep quiet, act confused, talk around answers to questions, act moral while doing the opposite, you know, like pence. See how well that worked out. I will never understand how either the democrats didn’t know about the affair, or cunningham didn’t think the republicans would find out. I think NC was close. Too close 4that crapola.

  4. Now we know why he left an hour before the inauguration. If he waited until after he’d have had to ask Joe Biden if he could use Air Force 1
