Despite the optimistic message splashed across his recent non-campaign ad illustrated in my top pic, success in a Presidential run for the American proto-fascist Gubner of Florida Ron DeSantis is by by no means assured as delegates to the Conservative Political Action Committee meeting being held in National Harbor, Maryland this week have a resounding preference for old school authoritarian Dotard J. Drumpf, who is outpolling him there considerably.

“CPAC is long gone. The Trump forces, the America First movement and the populist movement, of which I’m a key member of and a protectionist, has hijacked CPAC. We own this convention.”…

“…“[Trump] has a special magic, an energy, a coalition that excites people and welcomes people in,” Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) told The Hill in a brief interview regarding his support for Trump’s 2024 presidency.

Of Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis (R), Gaetz said he thought “very highly of him,” but that “selfishly, I want him to stay my governor for the full eight years that Floridians elected him for.””

Well, there you have it, straight from the horse’s ass… er… mouth of Matt Gaetz, Drumpf is CPAC’s choice.

… or for former South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley, who currently tails South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem by a percentage point.

Still both lead Texas idiot Ted Cruz who, at 2% is doing about as well as one would suspect.

But even though he is inhaling The Dotard’s dust, DeSantis gamely released the following ad pimping a possible Presidential run.

The bottom line is DeSantis, the pundits and prognosticators, and all the donors all dancing on the head of a pin can’t change the fact that drumpf has the base locked up.

Put out all the ads you want Ron, you won’t change that.

He’ll have to be super hyper christian nationalist, like jailing anyone in ‘drag’ (not just people performing in drag shows but transgender people, despite their legal gender, who are dressing in a manner not consistent with how people of their birth gender dress.), prosecuting women with 1st degree murder if a pregnancy ends before delivering a live baby- regardless of how that pregnancy ended, jailing everyone who doesn’t accept Jesus as their savior. just crazy shit. Unfortunately for Rhonda Santis, the things that will help him get the nomination over Trump will prevent him from winning a legit national election.

    • DeSantis can’t think on his feet. This is why he despises the press so much. And for him to be at this stage of the game, where he is on the verge of declaring candidacy and have zero answer as to what he would do vis a vis Ukraine is appalling. He has to have some answers regarding foreign policy. Or, maybe he’s figuring that there are enough MAGA crazies to get him on office on book banning and gay bashing. I have no idea.
