Bildo O’Reilly, upset about Illinois Governor JB Pritzker’s statement that “Right Here And Right Now” Is The Best Time To Talk About Gun Control, loses his damned racist mind on his Webcast, yelling about Pritzker’s lack of success in stemming “minority” gang violence in Chicago…

“You, J.B., are not gonna stop loons, and you won’t stop crime, drug crime, drug gangs, because they’re minority gangs! That’s why you won’t stop them! You phony! You aid and abet this murder in Chicago every blankin’ day. You! Don’t be sanctimonious with me!”

While I think we all agree that gang related violence is absolutely a problem that needs to be addressed, O’Reilly seems…er… confused as to why Pritzker thinks more gun control legislation in needed to help stem the tide of gun violence in his state.

After all, Illinois, and particularly, Chicago already has pretty strict gun laws doesn’t it?

But you see, Bill, the source for many of the guns used in drug turf wars is not Illinois at all, but the Red States that surround it and have some of the laxest gun control laws and the highest murder rates in the nation.

In fact O’Reilly, eight of the ten states with the highest per capita murder rates are states that voted overwhelmingly for Donald Trump, most of which haven’t gone Democratic since 1996…

…and are within half a days drive of Pritzker’s state. That’s why more gun control is needed on a National level and why, short of building a Great Peckerwood Wall, Illinois can do little on its own to stem the tide of urban violence:

“Every news outlet from FOX to CNN to The New York Times to local newspapers has a story with attention-grabbing headlines like “US cities hit all-time murder records.” Fox News and Republicans have jumped on this and framed it as a “Democrat” problem. They blame it on Democrat’s “soft-on-crime” approach and have even referred to a New York District Attorney’s approach as “hug-a-thug.” Many news stories outside of Fox have also purported that police reform is responsible for this rise in murder and have pointed to cities like New York and Los Angeles…
…We found that murder rates are, on average, 40% higher in the 25 states Donald Trump won in the last presidential election compared to those that voted for Joe Biden. In addition, murder rates in many of these red states dwarf those in blue states like New York, California, and Massachusetts. And finally, many of the states with the worst murder rates—like Mississippi, Kentucky, Alabama, South Carolina, and Arkansas—are ones that few would describe as urban. Only 2 of America’s top 100 cities in population are located in these high murder rate states. And not a single one of the top 10 murder states registers in the top 15 for population density.

Whether one does or does not blame Republican leaders for high murder rates, it seems that Republican officeholders do a better job of blaming Democrats for lethal crime than actually reducing lethal crime.

You see, Bildo, while Republicans are actually much worse at stopping violent crime, they are better at demagoguing it, thanks, in large part, to loudmouths like yourself.

To borrow a phrase, Bill… don’t be sanctimonious with me!

  1. I thought we were thru hearing from this idiot after faux nuz had enough of his happy horse-shit.

Interesting news out of MT: the legislature had put together a bill, signed by “Noah lived to be 600 yrs old and he didn’t have social security” gianforte, that said students could not be deprived of carrying firearms on/in the public colleges/universities. Well, the MT S.C. made short work out of that. In the state’s constitution, the board of regents has all say on what the public colleges/universities do so this bit of asininity from the legislature was a big go fuck yourselves to the state pols. I have to tell you everyone working or teaching in the colleges/universities felt these ass-holes put a target on their backs.
