If you live a healthy lifestyle and spend more time out talking to real people in a 3D world, it’s possible that you do not know what “DEI” stands for to the MAGAs, especially in Florida. Given that the “D” stands for “diversity,” you know that the MAGAs hate it. That’s… kind of remarkable to say. “E” is for equity, and they oppose equity, which leaves them favoring “inequity,” and “I” is for “inclusion,” so the MAGAs favor exclusion.
DEI is associated with being “woke,” and DeSantis is going to utter war with anyone who wants to implement DEI in any government program in Florida.
Meanwhile, Tulsi Gabbard has a huge problem with DEI in Biden’s cabinet. Now, most people think that if you expand the pool of candidates to include everyone, you will have a stronger cabinet than one limited to white men. But Tulsi believes that the diverse team around Biden proves he’s more interested in “diversity” than competence. Were that not bad enough, she says that such thinking mirrors Hitler, who made decisions based on genetics.
Yes. She actually said this last night while talking to Jesse Watters. Jessie said that “we’re a little tired of this diversity stuff.” (Yeah! Make the world safe for white men again!) To which Gabbard replied:
“Jesse, what we are seeing is their philosopher identity politics. This is one of the reasons I left the Democratic Party. You see how their agenda of identity politics directly undermines the traditional democratic values that were expressed beautifully and clearly by Dr. Martin Luther King, that we should judge each other not based on the color of our skin, but based on our character.”
Yeah. After all, look at all those people. Lloyd Austin, a black man, and former four-star general as Sec. of Defense, couldn’t possibly be competent. (Yesterday, former four-star general McCaffery said on MSNBC that Austin “knows every corner of the world and every detail about possible dangers.” Black = “Incompetent former Four Star General.” And then there is Pete, gay man, totally incompetent Sec. of Transportation. Treasury Sec. Janet Yellin is a magician with money and has figured out how to keep the government running despite nearing the debt ceiling. Incompetent… Ironically, if you want to call out someone as not living up to expectations, a lot of people (possibly me) might say that it’s Merrick Garland who has utterly failed. Maybe President Biden regrets not saving Kamala Harris for Attorney General, where I think she’d thrive.
But Gabbard wasn’t done. (We’re leaving out some of her blather):
It’s based on genetics, race, based on your blood, your genes, and, where do we see that connection? Well, these are the very same geneticist core principles embodied by Nazism and Adolf Hitler. This should be something that is sickening and alarming to every single Democrat and every single American. We have seen where this, uh, philosophy can lead.
Right. When you hear “Joe Biden,” you think Hitler.
“We need leaders who will elect, who will select people based on their character. How committed they are to the Constitution and the capabilities that they bring to actually do the job that they are hired to do most importantly, their heart.”
Bwahahahahahahah. Trump actually admitted that he hired people based on loyalty alone. He said even over “competence” or intelligence. If one wants to talk about something similar to Hitler, hiring white men based on “loyalty” is the means to mirror Hitler.

If the GOP practiced what she preaches, there would be NO ONE on their side of the aisle. The blatant hypocrisy is really getting tiresome.

I can’t emphasize enough how the current GOP is committed to fascism.
If they didn’t have hypocrisy, they would have no moral values at all.
We, as a majority NEED to wake up enough to go VOTE, and more importantly, vote DEMOCRAT to stop this death cult. Let’s take back the power the founders of our nation, who risked their very lives, put into writing. We, at this crossroad, don’t have to pick up arms on our soil, but we do need to recognize we are in a deadly conflict. The earth is telling us time is short for us to realize we, as a human species, can no longer elect people who don’t care about anything but their short sighted selfishness. We cant afford any more fascists in power anywhere at anytime. Our ancestors have left us this invaluable tool to preserve what’s good, and what values the environment, all life, each other, and ourselves. As is said, use it or lose it. Vote!
She’s accusing others of what she and other Republicans have in their hearts : fascism. They are all masters of projection.
And propaganda.
It’s one of the most fundamental aspects of fascist propaganta, accuse your adversaries of doing exactly what you’re doing. Jim Jordan’s “Weaponization of Government” is the perfect example.
I think folks need to ask her then: “Are you, therefore, saying that you could never be included in any Cabinet, given that you’re a woman and non-white and a non-Christian, lest your membership be seen as promoting you based on *identity* politics rather than any acknowledgement of competence or ability?”
Watch as her head would literally explode trying to explain how *her* appointment would’ve been SOLELY because of her competence. Unlike the Robot Santa (from “Futurama”), I don’t think she had “paradox absorbing crumple zones” built into her.
Like so many Republicans, first thing when she wakes up each morning Tulsi reaches into her chest to the space where a human being’s heart would be and takes out the now hardened lump of black (due to being mixed with charcoal dust to keep it burning all day) brimstone and stuff a couple new handfuls into the space from the container on her nightstand. After giving it a few minutes to get the toxic fluid coursing through what in a human being would be her bloodstream she then sits up and opens the top of her skull and replaces the old batch of dried out Trump turds with a fresh batch from another container on her nightstand. That enables her to stand up and go through the routine of showering and getting dressed.
And THEN she is able to waltiz into a Fox studio and spout the kind of filth (like last night) she regularly spouts – like Linda Blair’s character doing the projective vomiting thing in The Exorcist.
It’s nice to know she’s one of the Bad Guys.
