Trump’s “We’re Leading the Internet” Is Prelude To November 6 Blow Up

November 6 may become the new January 6. It looks like Donald Trump is preparing for that very thing. It’s entirely possible that Harris/Walz could have a big enough victory to where it could be announced on November 5, rather than a week later as happened in 2020. That being the case, look for the uproar of outrage which is going to emanate from Team Trump. The Mango Messiah is preparing for that very possibility.

When he horrifically embarrassed himself this week at Arlington Cemetery, rather than apologize like any sane person, he fobbed off the responsibility — and more importantly began talking about his popularity on the internet. That was the purpose of the photo shoot, to claim that Joe Biden and Kamala Harris blew off an important ceremony but he, Trump, personification of all that is good, made it there instead. Because he reveres the military, you see.

Wow. This is a new low, even for Trump.

“Well – We have a lot of TikTok People – We’re leading the Internet – that’s the other thing – We are So Far above Her on the Internet! I don’t know what the Rules and Regulations are – I don’t know who did it. – It could have been the Parents. – All I did was stood there and said – ‘If You’d like a Picture – We can have a Picture.’ This was a Set Up by the People in the Administration that – ‘Oh – Trump is coming to Arlington – that looks So Bad for Us!’”

Now had he said that “we’re leading in the sun belt” or “we’re leading in the blue wall states” or something that actually is an indicator of the health and potential of a campaign, I for one would be worried. But “we have a lot of TikTok people?” Great. I promise you that that and 270 electoral college votes will put you back in the White House. (Pro tip: worry more about the EC.) But that said, here’s more corroboration that Trump seems committed to this and it makes perfect sense.

Now let me tell you what I think Trump is doing here: he’s trying to set up his stolen election scam. And of course, he’ll have no more hard evidence of a stolen election than he had in 2020, but if he gets this rolling, “We’re leading on the internet, the internet loves us,” then he can incite the MAGAs all that much more easily.

Trump is laying the groundwork. There is no doubt of that. Since we don’t have key facts, like by what margin would Harris/Walz prevail, we’re somewhat limited in our ability to predict exactly how Trump will frame things. The obvious best case scenario is that Harris/Walz wins by such a margin, both in the popular vote and the electoral college, that it becomes ridiculous to question the win. That’s the goal we need to work towards.

But if the election is a squeaker, then Trump will probably return to this playbook of 2020, hoping to kick the election to the House of Representatives to decide. That’s his ultimate goal. And to pave the way for that goal, Trump has taken dominion over the few things that he can, social media and the internet. And as stated, that and 270 electoral college votes will get him there.

It’s a statistical tie. So Trump is emphatically not leading. He’s just altering numbers to fool MAGA.
