You may recall that a terrible fire in 2019 almost brought Notre Dame cathedral down to the ground. The conflagration raged and firefighters were able to staunch the flames before they destroyed the supporting walls. Many say it was the hand of God saving the cathedral. I find this believeable because I’ve been to Notre Dame and it is like a time machine to go into that building, which was constructed in 1163. You lose all sense of time and space in there, it is so beyond what we build nowadays and what we experience. The stonework and the stained glass are the result of workmanship many centuries old. The reopening of the cathedral has been a wondrous thing. And into this hallowed setting struts the buffoon that got elected last month, behaving just as you would expect.
Trump is psychotic.

Macron looks like he’s about to burst into laughter when Trump says what a “great relationship” they had. And later on they met with Volodymyr Zelensky, who looked like he had seen happier days.
Trump hates being there. The only time he’s happy in public is when he has his adoring MAGA cult to cheer him. Everything else is a burden and a nuisance. Zelensky is worried about winning the war he’s in without American aid and Macron has his hands full with the rejecton of his Prime Minister a few days ago. And they’ve got this buffoon to deal with as well. Trump’s not an ally of either of them, he’s an albatross.
That hand shake and another just before that one were Trump’s continuing attempts to always throw Macron off balance by yanking him in to him during the handshake. It’s his very predictable and childish ploy, always trying to assert dominance.
He does it every time, to everyone who is not a dictator-pal of his.
Trudeau was ready for it back in 2016.

I think President Zelinskyy is more afraid of the felon giving Ukraine to russia, not letting them join NATO (which he will pull the US out of), rather than losing the funding. The felon is putin’s butt buddy so there is a good chance that he will hand putin Ukraine somehow. It MAY be through pulling funding but President Biden is trying to send everything he can over there before he leaves office. Ukraine is building fantastic, new drones and their own munitions. They have held off russia for over 1,000 days. The felon will destroy all of that, and not give Ukraine the confiscated russian money to help them rebuild. Triple whammy.
As for the handshake, well we all know he is a total ass and the entire world agrees and is laughing and crying that he is back on the world stage. He’s a maroon to put it nicely. A boor. An uncivilized clown. You could see him wincing as Macron squeezed his hand back. Macron is younger, stronger, and FIT, so he was not only prepared for the handshake because the moron felon did it before, but he fought back. Like I hope Canada and Mexico do as well.
