Maybe we should make this a regular feature, the Daily Lie Fest from Trump world because there would be no lack of material. The downside is that lies from this administration are scarcely news — but it does behoove us to keep up on them to know what the cult is being indoctrinated with on any given day. Here’s a sample from the past 24 hours.

There you see it. He’s the Pushmi Pullyou, one day going one direction and the next day going dead opposite. And his enemy is fake news, always. Here’s another sampling. This is the kind of propaganda exposition that would make North Korean media proud.
China was the largest export market for American farmers in 2024. They bought 27 million metric tons. They stopped buying in 2025 when Trump started his trade war. These are simple, obvious, basic facts. https://t.co/toq2pKklgu

Again, it’s easily ascertainable what amount of soybeans the Chinese (or anybody else for that matter) used to purchase from the U.S. in any given time frame, or purchase now.
This is when I knew Xi was going to take this babbling fool to the cleaners, and us in the process.

But we need the Orwellian spin on it all. Nothing is coming out of Washington these days without the Orwellian spin. I am waiting for Trump to tell us that we’re at war with Eastasia and always have been at war with Eastasia.
The soybeans clip is almost completely lifted from the pages of 1984. In the book there was a news blip from the capitol that the chocolate ration was being cut 10%. Winston Smith modified that to read that the chocolate ration had been increased by 15% and published it that way.
It was perfect Big Brother logic. People were getting less but were told that they were getting more — and should be thrilled. It was all mind games.
That’s where we currently are living friends. Orwellian mind games. These are just two examples.

Absolutely nailed it, Ursula. If Orwell were to come back today his first reaction would be astonishment, and then horror.
