Donald Trump’s star on the Hollywood walk of fame is no more. At 3:30 a.m. Pacific time a man with a pickaxe obliterated the symbol. Huffington Post:

Trump received the star in 2007, long before his presidency. He was the host of NBC’s “The Apprentice” at the time, but the Walk of Fame star honors his role as producer for his Miss Universe shows.

Trump’s star has been attacked before, but not quite so spectacularly. It was smashed by a man in 2016 shortly after the “Access Hollywood” recording of Trump bragging about sexual assault surfaced.

In that case, the vandal used a pickax and a sledgehammer. The attacker later pleaded no contest to one felony count of vandalism. The star was later restored.

A Hollywood Walk of Fame star is not exactly the total honor you might think it is. An application for a star costs $30,000 which is why certain A-listers, Julia Roberts and Dustin Hoffman don’t have one, they didn’t want to pay for it.

The man who did the deed turned himself in and is in custody. There is no word at this time whether Trump’s star will be restored. Trump is certain to be livid and that was probably the idea.
