The stable genius is neither stable nor a genius. There was a rumor back in 2016, right after he got elected, that he had the second highest IQ of any United States president, and the number stated was 156. And no, I don’t know which president got a higher score than that, to win first place, but I absolutely guarantee you it wasn’t Dubya.
Now let me be up front: the meme that you’re about to see has been debunked by both Snopes and PolitiFact so I’m not presenting it here as truth. I am presenting it for entertainment purposes only. And one thing I would stake all that I know on: Trump’s IQ is a lot closer to this figure you’ll read below than to 156. That is for damn sure. In fact, if Trump’s IQ is over 100, I would be astonished.

This explains a lot. pic.twitter.com/aVBptqxVzP— Pam🟧🟦💙🌊🇺🇲☮️🌴🏖 (@Pams30stm) October 23, 2023
Now in all truth? If I had to guess Trump’s IQ, I would put it at 85-90. But I spoke with our own Michelle Dale about this and she said, “I used to teach high school and I believe 73.” So there’s that.
Here’s what Snopes has to say:
However, this image was not, and did not reflect, a genuine newspaper clipping.
While we aren’t entirely sure where this story originated, we turned up no mention of it on any credible news website. In fact, we couldn’t find the story published anywhere. The only version that appears to exist is the image version shown above. In other words, it appears that this story was fabricated specifically for the creation of this meme.
Furthermore, the images included in the fake clipping do not show a man by the name of “William Askew Jr.” or Askew’s late father, who was supposedly Trump’s former school counselor.
The photograph claimed to be that of Askew Jr. was taken from a stock photography website:
The image allegedly showing Trump’s former school counselor at New York Military Academy actually depicts a man named Lawrence Hanson, who was the principal at Grand Forks (North Dakota) Central High School in 1950.
And you can check out Mr. Hanson’s photo from 1950 if you want to.
So, no, friends, we have not found definitive evidence of Donald Trump having an IQ of 73. But we have had a good laugh and in this day and age, with the House paralyzed, with Trump lying like mad on the campaign trail, with malaria breaking out in latitudes it normally doesn’t exist in, due to global warming, with flesh eating bacteria doing the same thing, for the same reason, with species going extinct and it doesn’t even make the front page anymore, because it’s so common, with devastating floods in Libya happening the same week as an equally devastating earthquake in Morocco, with two global wars going on, and with, as always, Donald Trump still in the race for president of our country, take a laugh and enjoy it, wherever and whenever you can get it.
We are at the exact place where H.L. Mencken predicted that we would be.
“As democracy is perfected, the office of president represents, more and more closely, the inner soul of the people. On some great and glorious day the plain folks of the land will reach their heart’s desire at last and the White House will be adorned by a downright moron.”
― On Politics: A Carnival of Buncombe
I am grateful Mencken didn’t live to see his prophecy realized.
An IQ of 73?
I doubt that.
He always seemed fond of the number 45, maybe it’s as high as that?
An I.Q. of 45 would mean an average Bonobo has a higher I.Q. Same with an I.Q. of 73 actually (Bonobos and Chimpanzees are said to test at 80-90). Not surprising really.
That sounds about right, not quite up to chimpanzee level.
His IQ has to be lower than Forrest Gump’s. Forrest was smart enough to know he wasn’t considered a smart man. He also knew what love is. Trump isn’t as perceptive. In fact, my dog is smarter. She knows what love is.
Well, as Mama Gump said “Stupid is as stupid does” and by that measure Trump is one stupid pile of brown organic human waste spray painted orange.
one stupid pile of brown organic human waste,,,,,
Any intelligent and rational person would not have the initiative, time, inclination, or crayons to help explain to certain others what Trump’s imbecilic IQ actually is. It should be an ‘it is what it is’ being fodder for a meme, lampoon, and ridicule – the accolades it justly deserves.
I am a retired teacher who spent the majority of my career working with children with learning disabilities of various kinds. An IQ of 70 is deemed as intellectually retarded & the range just above that number, ie (71-84) is considered to be very limited intellectually.
I have always recognized DON THE CON TRUMP as someone with very limited intellectual abilities. It has always been evident that he has very little intellect & even less knowledge about the world at large & it’s complexities, history, science, etc. He also shows very little interest in learning about anything beyond what he views as a benefit to himself.
There was a lot of information that came out back in 2016 & after from Trump’s niece, Mary Trump who revealed that Donald Trump’s older sister, Maryanne used to do his school assignments for him & even take certain tests for him, as he was unable to do much of it. Based on that information, I’m curious about how Trump got through college & whether his father hired someone to do the coursework for his son, as his sister had during his earlier education.
I agree with your assessment, T Marie. I’m also of the opinion that he had someone write assignments for him and take the tests.
Drumpf’s father got Donny’s parchment, and his entree into Penn, the old-fashioned way-he bought it. The same scholarship plan was in play for Jar-jar’s acceptance into Harvard.
nobody has the guts to point out his spelling error, and he probably lets his phone auto-complete the phrase every time. Fruitcake it is.
Well ‘stollen’ could fit as he’s as nutty as a fruit cake
Actually the term ‘genius’ hasn’t been used in IQ tests for almost 100 years and it’s only used as a rating in conjunction with IQ (other factors being taken into account) and it doesn’t take a genius to work that out
The IQ ratings are:
130 and above Very superior
120–129 Superior
110–119 High average
90–109 Average
80–89 Low average
70–79 Borderline
69 and below Extremely low
The Donald is probably in the 80-89 range
I would like for this all to be over, so we could get back to ‘getting better’, not ‘getting worse’, day by day.
Taking thecognitive test
I can believe that. DON THE CON is not too far from the “missing link”.
