The image that you see is a representation of the 1,900 or so No Kings protests which are scheduled to take place in all 50 states tomorrow. It will be Trump’s 79th birthday and for his birthday (and under the guise of celebrating something else) Trump will have tanks roll down Pennsylvania Avenue. Or at least that’s the plan. The weather service predicts a 90% chance of rain, and wouldn’t it be anti-climactic as hell if Trump’s parade got rained on while in other cities, all over the nation, his authoritarian tendencies are being demonstrated against? That’s America’s birthday present to Trump, mass demonstrations against his fascist ideals.

Poor Donald has had an absotively, posolutely dreadful week. I mean dreadful.  He’s been “rolled by China, ignored by Israel, beaten at cards by Ukraine, and with polling numbers dropping in every area, Trump needs a little Abrams M-1 tank Viagra,” as Rick Wilson puts it. But the Abrams M-1’s may have to stay under tarps and then no Viagra at all for Donald. At least not that kind. We don’t know if he uses the other, but we would bet good money that Melania isn’t giving to give him that kind of a birthday present. And that’s granting, arguendo, that she’s even in town.

Look at what has happened in four months and three weeks. And we’re supposed to endure another three and a half plus years of this. Or, tomorrow may be a turning point. The No Kings protests will say a lot about the temper of the country and how Trump’s idiot administration did so much to fuel the attendance at them at the last minute. Thank Kristi Noem in particular for allowing the bludgeoning of Alex Padilla (an action which was stopped by none other than Corey Lewandowski, do you love it?) Lewandowski hangs around a lot with Noem these days, but don’t get it into your dirty minds that they’re having an affair or anything.

The chickens are coming home to roost. The reason the United States got into war with Iran this week (and that’s pretty much the state of things) is due to Trump halting the Iran nuclear deal in the first place, for no other reason than Obama endorsed it. That gave Iran the ability to restart nuclear arming.

You wouldn’t think it would be possible to be vague about whether this country is at war with another country, but you take a look at what the Trump administration has said about the situation and read your own tea leaves.

It appears we are now at war with Iran despite the fact that the only statement we have received from the Trump admin about it is from Secretary Of State Marco Rubio denying any US involvement. Fox: “The US is assisting Israel to shoot down Iranian missiles. An official said, ‘There are hundreds of thousands of American citizens and other American assets in Israel and the U.S. is working to protect them.’”

Rubio released this statement shortly after Israel’s launched their attack last night: “Tonight, Israel took unilateral action against Iran. We are not involved in strikes against Iran and our top priority is protecting American forces in the region. Israel advised us that they believe this action was necessary for its self-defense. President Trump and the Admin have taken all necessary steps to protect our forces and remain in close contact with our regional partners. Let me be clear: Iran should not target US interests or personnel.”

But after initial reports came in that Israel’s initial strikes appeared to be successful in decapitating the leadership of Iran’s military, Trump woke up wanting to claim credit for all of it. He put in phone calls in a few hours to Bret Baier, Dana Bash, Jonathan Lemire, Lawrence Jones, and Jonathan Karl to say that he was with Israel every step of the way on the planning and execution.

Trump also posted this on Truth Social, which contradicted Rubio’s statement that we had nothing to do with it: “Two months ago I gave Iran a 60 day ultimatum to ‘make a deal.’ They should have done it! Today is day 61. I told them what to do, but they just couldn’t get there. Now they have, perhaps, a second chance!”

There you have it. Trump can’t agree with his own Secretary of State on what the state of play is now in the Middle East or what led up to it. All that is known for sure is Trump asked Netanyahu to forebear and Netanyahu, having no respect for Trump, decided to do what he felt like. We have lost the respect of the entire world at this point.

June 14 will not only be the last year of Trump’s seventh decade, it will also be a day which will make a statement about the true temper of the times in America. The good news is that we don’t have long to wait. Trump may have a real bummer in front of him tomorrow and the country may very well reaffirm who we really are.

You know how I repeat endlessly, “It’s only 1.5%.” That point will be struck home tomorrow, is my prediction. Yes, the clown won, but not by any “landslide” and sure as hell not by any “mandate” level of victory. And here’s another thought to gladden your heart: Even Donald realizes that he can’t just set ICE loose to do whatever they want. There is a limit.

This is what was said all along before Trump let his ICE dogs loose. Now he’s being forced to walk it all back. And of course Stephen Miller is miserable, his white ethnostate being pushed back into the dream stage again.

Trump is a flailing, impotent imbecile. Let’s see what happens on the morrow.

    He’ll be another day older.

He’ll be no wiser, for he can’t learn.

    He’ll be no more stupid.

    How could he be?

He’ll be one day closer to a foot in the grave. A day of huge celebrations for everyone else.

  2. I don’t think I’ve ever seen such a glaring disconnect between a Secretary of State and a President. Rubio has been made to look a complete fool. If he had a shred of dignity he would resign.
