Maybe this is a topic to be covered during the Trump/Biden debate later on this month. Personally, I don’t think such a debate will take place, but perhaps I’m wrong. It’s going to be quite the black eye if Trump chickens out of the debate. His MAGA hordes are waiting for a cage match, he would be wise to give it to them. Except that’s impossible, because Trump’s persona only works on a one way street basis. If he’s doing all the talking, no questons, no rebuttal, just rapt devotion, he does fine. A debate is the very antithesis of that by its nature. This is a recent clip of Trump’s that it would be interesting to see discussed during a debate, however.

The only recent picture that we saw of Barron and Trump together was at Melania’s mother’s funeral. That is it. Otherwise, they don’t get photographed together. Although that may change because now the cat’s out of the bag.
It does make you wonder about Barron’s sudden conversion to a life in politics which was then walked back by his mother’s office two days later. That is a red flag. In any kind of a normal situation there is no way a major life announcement like that would be made, a career path announcement and then two days later — POOF! Never mind. Abra cadabra, now you see it, now you don’t.
And MAGAs like Patrick Bet-David, who is a wealthy donor who spends a lot of time at Mar-a-Lago and Mike Tyson have both gone on podcasts talking about what an utterly brilliant young man Barron is, quite the conversationalist, the raconteur, the natural entertainer. Great. We’ll take their word for it because if any clip has ever been released of Barron saying anything publicly, I have not seen it. Nobody knows what his voice even sounds like, let alone what stance he takes on any issues whatsoever.
That’s an interesting point because the age gap between Trump and his first three children was so much less than the gap between Trump and Barron. Barron is 60 yearss younger than Trump. Maybe Trump and Barron can soon begin to talk to one another, though, if college age is the magic time. Although if Barron is hyper intelligent and opinioned, that will drive his father insane. Trump wants yes men around him that parrot his views, not independent thinkers.
There is a large answer to be found to the riddle of how Barron and Donald Trump really get alone in the two-day political career that flopped. Was that Trump’s idea to revitalize a sagging campaign, get his 18-year-old involved in the election and bring in other 18-year-olds to vote Republican? Or was that Steven Cheung or Chris LaCivita’s idea?
Did Melania know about it? She had to, right? The best supposition that anybody can come up with is that Melania was game (maybe there was a large financial advantage in agreeing) and then when social media made it crystal clear that if Barron was now in politics that he was no longer off limits and would be held accountable for whatever came out of his mouth, she decided to walk it all back.
Donald Trump is hated. He’s hated all over the world. Yes, in the Mar-a-Lago bubble he may be loved and admired and so may Barron for all that we know. But the minute Barron opens his mouth and starts pushing his father and MAGA, he’s going to get the blow back that comes from taking such an action. The big lie not withstanding, Trump lost the 2020 election by over seven million votes. And if Melania has decided that that’s too hot for her liking, great. Stay out of the kitchen. Good move, in fact. Because the political temperature isn’t going to lower until Trump is defeated in November and then tried on his last three cases.
And a lot of things are going to blow up if there’s a Biden/Trump debate, let alone two of them. The purported drug usage is the least of it. The irony here is that, in point of fact, Barron and Donald’s relationship, whatever it may be, can only worsen if there is a debate. Because a debate will bring to the surface facts that Donald Trump and his campaign want hidden. Lots of them, in fact.
Von Shitzinpants keeps calling for drug testing before the debate. Does he realize he too will be tested? I personally hope President Biden demands drug testing for them both just so we can watch Von Shitzinpants weasel out of that too.
I do not think he will debate. He’s getting the go ahead from the morons at fux to get out of them (not a wise move if only because nothing fux does/says/etc. is in any way wise). His base will make up a million excuses for why he weaseled out with each sounding more implausible than the last-they always do. Participating will hurt him with anyone not a magat because he only does well speaking to the morons in his klan rallies. Not participating won’t cost him a single vote from his base. Why would he debate and why would his campaign advisors ask him to do so?
There will be no debate unless fox news runs it. CNN is also suspect given the right winger running it. Any real debate that forces him to actually follow rules WILL NOT HAPPEN. Oh, and of course, it will be Joe Biden’s fault…you can count on that also.
