Once again the dual narratives of reality collide. Trump world (at least somebody in it) is claiming that yesterday’s Wildwood, New Jersey rally was packed. As you can plainly see, the headline above this You Tube video says 100,000 people attended and then the announcer said 80,000. That’s odd on its face. One assumes that the information on the crowd size was given by a member of Team Trump. Unfortunately, these figures are easily debunked.
You saw the flattering picture painted. Now if the permit was for 20,000 and that can be verified independent of Team Trump, then it seems odd indeed that five times as many people as anticipated suddenly showed up. The real world responds to Trump world.

There is a world of difference between those two photos. Not on the same scale at all. But in Trump world you live in a realm where numbers that would boggle the mind normally are thrown around blithely. You well recall the acrimony during the Trump Organization fraud trial where the value of Mar-a-Lago was argued as being $18 million by the court and $1.2 billion by the defendant. That is quite a spread. That’s beyond any small statistical error, and much was made of that at the time.

That’s where it all started, back in 2017. Trump is obsessed with size. We’ll just leave speculation on the origin of that issue for another time.
In any event, the bigger issue is that Team Trump provides figures which don’t match with empirical data and that’s nothing new. And Fox News is still very much a Trump organ, as much as it would like to pull away and become post-Trump. DeFuture was not with DeSantis, as was so rigorously hoped. That mirage dissipated quickly, right after Mr. Woke took on the largest employer in Florida, Disney, and from there it went downhill quickly.
No rally is on schedule for Wednesday, Trump’s next available time, but that could change. Who knows, Barron could be out stumping for his father on Wednesday, the way things go back, forth and upside down in Trump world.
