This is the kind of satirical comment that one of us, the bloggers and readers of blogs who crack wise about Donald Trump every day of our lives would make. But it’s not our satire, it’s him being him. This is Trump to a tee. Two things going on here: 1. the self-paeon to his massive hubris and enormous ego. He is worth everything, certainly the ultimate sacrifice. 2. He’s also, comically, contradicting himself.
Oh yes. Trump has always touted One Day Voting. That’s the answer, you have heard him say it over and over again. But this brutal Iowa snowstorm he’s in now has served as testament to just the opposite notion, why have people come out in inclement weather or traffic, or anything inconvenient, when they can bank their ballot via mail? This last point will be thrown up in his face at some point (and I presume courage on the part of some journalist, maybe I shouldn’t) and it will be hilarious to hear what he has to say.

Trump is just fine if his acolytes die, he just hopes that they had the foresight to disinherit their relatives and leave all their money to him in their wills.
Now there’s an argument for living the virtuous life if ever I heard one. If I’m a bad person, I’ll go to Hell and Hell will be filled with Donald Trump and MAGAs. That’s it for me, friends. I’m headed on the road to sainthood now. I won’t even kill a fly going forward. I have to avoid Hell at all costs, if that’s a working description of the place — although I did hear tell once that Justin Trudeau had a place in Hell. Maybe I could hang out with him, and avoid the bad neighborhoods.

Risk frostbite or even death, the Mango Messiah doesn’t care. You owe it to him. You owe him everything, anything, your money, your health, he’s already taken your sanity, so that’s gone. This is how MAGA rolls.
It will be an interesting snowy Monday indeed in the state of Iowa. Unconfirmed rumors are that schools may be closed. You know when that happens in a winter state that things grind to a dead halt and that’s the intention, to minimize danger to people. But Trump won’t care. He wants people to do for him and the hell with doing for them. That’s his credo. He’s proving it here, but not to his detriment. I daresay that there’s a splinter sect of MAGA that will want to die for Trump.
Seriously. I can see it now, some MAGA coming forth, “My Rhonda Mae loved president Trump so much that she not only camped out in the snow to caucus for him, she did it naked, too. When I found her icy body she had the biggest smile on her face. She didn’t get to vote for him but she died trying, like all of us should.” And Trump would take that tribute and turn it into a fundraising email. You know he would. It would be a package deal, the martyred MAGA gal next to the testimonial of the convicted gangster telling everybody what a great guy Trump is.
Madness in Des Moines. Madness all over Iowa. Wait until Ron DeSantis loses. My spidey sense tells me that’s going to be wild. I think DeSantis’ facade of denial will break at that point and I don’t know what will happen then, but it will be stunning. Again, just going on instinct.

I know it’s easy to be cynical, but I don’t want anyone to die or be harmed getting to a caucus. I’m in Iowa, and I can tell you that it’s too damned cold to take out the trash, let alone go to a caucus site. Those poor souls out in the country could slide into a ditch and die before anyone can get to them. It’s serious stuff.

None of this Trinity are legitimate candidates as all three support or caused insurrection. It is time to start attacking every Republican that has done anything to support the insurrection or its participants.
