Another cult gathering in the Hawkeye State. The Mango Monarch is expected to talk big about the recent skirmish in Israel and how it never would have happened on his watch because he’s so powerful and omniscient. Meanwhile, all his warm up acts are taking stage and if this is the flavor of things to come, it should be a fairly demented day. Trump’s gone out of his way to go to Iowa a lot, apparently attempting to lock down the Iowa caucus. Interesting that he’s bothering so much, since Ted Cruz beat him in Iowa in 2016 and then you know the rest. Let’s start with the car.

I don’t want to think how much time and money went into that apparition. It does make a statement.

“Put to silence?” And then this guy gets all worked up over the tiny minority that transgender people represent. I hope our species evolves to such a level where we will look back on this and shake our heads.

Frankly, I agree with the people who are shrieking with laughter. There is no deprogramming these people. It is a waste of time and effort.

Here’s Don Junior adding to the ambiance of the day.

Here’s more ambiance still. Ronna sees dead bodies in Israel as a “great opportunity” for GOP candidates. So do I, Ronna. Because you’ve got nothing else and you’re beyond desperate.

That says it all. And the standard bearer of these sick, demented bastards will take stage soon and look to him to lead with something along those lines. Here’s what he’s said already.

The oft-vaunted Abraham Accords didn’t work. Nine months after they were signed there was carnage. This is nothing new. It was asked whether the Accords were “real, hype, or something in between?” All three.

But Trump loves to paint with a black and white simplistic brush because that’s all he knows. It’s going to be a wild weekend in Waterloo.

  1. The low point (so far) of this frightening and disheartening process was reached during and after Trump’s presidency. He literally embodied all of the most hateful, racist, selfish, and downright nasty impulses that afflict human beings — and his ascent to power quickly made it just fine (on the right, anyway) to be racist, hateful, uncooperative, and nasty.

He made it A-OK to be a self-centered, malevolent bully.

To me, that’s the bottom-line truth concerning what’s happening to Americans’ mental/emotional health — and our morality as well. Somehow, we have to free ourselves from the awful influence of Trumpism and find ways to restore vital traits like kindness, generosity, empathy, cooperation, and yes, love.

For if we continue much further down our current destructive path … well, that way lies total madness, ruin, and social collapse.

  2. I really hope he meets his Waterloo. Every time so far when we think he has, it turns out to be a skirmish.

    It’ll happen in court soon.
