‘There is Triumph the Comic Insult Dog and then there is Trump, the Comic Insult Dog of a Candidate. Frankly, I’ll take the cigar-toting puppet any day of the week. Him I have seen launch out some witticisms into the ether, unlike the mean spirited MAGA mouthpiece. And also frankly, the dog puppet probably knows more about governing than the so-called human. Trump did a pair of rallies today, and he’s expected to do a lot more tomorrow and Monday as we get ready for Super Tuesday and more importantly, the changeover in the RNC guard set for March 8. This is going to be quite the week. Here is the GOP frontrunner dragging everybody down to his level.

The tweet ends “since starting on the case in November 2021, Wade emphasized the emotional and financial toll, highlighting his commitment to seeing the case through despite personal financial sacrifice and implied high personal safety risks due to the nature of the case (ajc.com/politics/wade-

But of course Trump cracks wise about Fani Willis hiring attractive counsel with no ability for an obvious reason, because that’s what he himself does. You don’t need to be Freud to figure this out. And it steeply got worse.

Here’s something that I think will blow up in his face. The American people told Trump, “You’re fired!” once — and they’re going to do it again.

It’s the usual bread and circus. It never changes. It only meanders into stranger and stranger byways and who knows what roads Trump will take America down before finally self destructs?

As the race pivots to Super Tuesday, the vast map seems tailor-made for Trump to roll up an insurmountable lead on Haley. His team has been turning up the pressure on Haley to drop out, and another big win could be a major point in their favor.

Haley’s banked a considerable amount of campaign money and says she wants to stay in the race until the Republican National Convention in July in case delegates there have second thoughts about formally nominating Trump amidst his legal woes. But she’s seen some of her financial support waver recently — the organization Americans For Prosperity, backed by the Koch brothers, announced it’d stop spending on her behalf after South Carolina.

She may not be able to afford another sweeping loss.

Do college grads keep turning against Trump?

Amid Trump’s commanding wins this primary season have been a notable warning sign for November: He’s performed poorly with college-educated primary voters.

In the New Hampshire and South Carolina primaries, APVoteCast found that college graduates picked Haley over Trump. Roughly two-thirds of voters in both states who went to graduate school after college voted for the former South Carolina governor.

In South Carolina, Trump won the suburbs but not by the same magnitude as his dominance in small towns and rural areas, essentially splitting the vote with Haley.

One of the biggest questions on Tuesday is whether Trump can start repairing that rupture. Weakness with college graduates and in the suburbs where they cluster is what doomed Trump in his 2020 loss to Biden.

Only one guarantee can be made about 2024: it will not be one of the duller years of your life. That we can promise you.

  1. Oh donny. You are so confused. YOU were the one who was fired and unless something truly horrendous happens to this nation and you are the only person left alive on the planet you are not going to be re-hired.

Sorry folks, I find it difficult to believe, despite the rampant stupidity of Americans, that so many people would forget just how f*cked up his four years were, how poorly he performed on the job, how sh*tty the economy was when he was voted out of office, that they’d give him the chance to absolutely destroy the nation. Granted, the magats are that stupid but they are only a portion of a portion of our citizenry. This fall’s election will be a national cognitive test for America and if he were to somehow get back into office, we will have failed the test.

    • Not to mention he was DIRECTLY RESPONSIBLE for the deaths of more Americans than we lost in WW2. Like you, I can’t imagine our cultural memory will be that short, but I try never to underestimate human stupidity and selfishness.

      • It will be interesting to have someone in the media discover how many Americans who lost friends or family members to Civic or who had to be hospitalized themselves feel.about Trump. So far, that hasn’t even been mentioned. I have a friend with long Covid, and that alone would make me vote for Biden even if I were a,devout Republican.

  2. We are seeing his mental demise daily. Paraphasia. Projection onto others what he has always done. Problem: he can be in a wheelchair, drooling and speaking nonsense and the RW media will say the Deep State did it and the magat’s will believe it.

  3. IMO: Yes, some Nazi RW/Cult hater’s will always believe their “leaders.” But NOT the Majority of the SANE! VOTE Blue, seriously, WE have no choice! It’s either Democracy or a TYRANNICAL Fascist ABOMINATION!

    • I think the sane Republicans are the ones who elected the sane Republicans who chose not to run for re-election this time.
