Does a day go by when Trumpty Dumpty isn’t either filing a new lawsuit or named in some new action? It’s seriously hard to keep track of all of Trump’s legal woes. You need more than a scorecard, you need a round the clock staff keeping track of it all.

The latest today is Trump filing an action for injunctive relief against Letitia James in Florida District Court. He’s claiming jurisdiction in Florida because the revocable trust that he’s seeking to keep out of James’ hands was set up in the State of Florida. Hoe kay, seems reasonable on its face. Plus, he resides in Florida. He’s no longer a resident of New York State, to their eternal relief and gratitude, I’m sure.

Here’s a link to this jewel of jurisprudence. Scroll on down to paragraph 42, where James is quoted as proposing to do “a review of Trump-related real estate transactions, especially those in which the Trump family suddenly started paying cash for properties after years of operating their businesses exclusively by borrowing money.”

Trump goes on to say that James doesn’t know what she’s talking about, in essence, but I’m wondering if she’s not referring to a time when Vladimir Putin started financing the Trump crime family.

Look at it this way. IF James is able to prove an influx of Russian money to the Trumps (and you do recall Eric having shared early on in the game that they got “all the funding they needed from Russia”) that, coupled with the investigation done in the Mueller report and other places might make things very uncomfortable for Donald. It’s called connecting the dots.

The motion goes on to argue that James is intent upon a campaign of “intimidation and harassment” and we all know that Trumpty Dumpty is innocent, right? So if you investigate his obvious crooked ways, it’s because you’re there to intimidate and harass, n’est-ce pas?

I guess that’s the gist of the cause of action which Trump is arguing against James, that he’s entitled to injunctive relief, i.e., she doesn’t get to see his revocable trust because she hates him, is about what I’m able to glean at this moment. Now, make no mistake, far greater legal minds than mine are going to be going through this with a fine tooth comb, but I can tell you off the bat, just out in the work a day world of the Los Angeles legal community, where I worked most of my adult life, I read far better pleadings than this one. This is another hastily cobbled together piece of shit, and I’m sure you don’t find that surprising.

Now you need to look at this pleading, if you haven’t already, because it does one thing that I have never seen before. It uses a person’s title as a natural name. The name on the pleading is “President Donald J. Trump, Plaintiff.” Throughout the pleading he is referred to as “President Trump” as though his given name was “President Trump.” He is never referred to as “Mr. Trump” or merely “Trump,” oh no, he is referred to as President Trump throughout.

Here’s something else you don’t see every day in a normal motion for injunctive relief — and I have seen many, believe me. Trump has a footnote in the complaint where he declares an intent to sue James in New York State in the near future, along with this sociological commentary. “After seeing what James has tried to do to the Trump Organization and others, many businesses are exiting New York for more friendly environments. This is all while violent crime skyrockets and the residents lack basic safety in many places.”

This digression comes right after a sentence about the cost to society of frivolous lawsuits, Hand to God. Go check it out, footnote 12, beginning on page 32. I wonder if Ms. James has called Hillary Clinton yet, so that they can howl and scream together. This lawsuit has the same tone as the one that Trump filed against Clinton.

One thing is for certain: Trumpty Dumpty is scared. He’s not just on any wall. He’s got himself cornered on the wall of a balcony some 70 stories high, and the wind’s blowing at hurricane force. When Trumpty goes down, he’s going down haaaaaaaarrrrrd. SPLAT!

  1. Tfpresidunce’s lawyer’s need to be sanctioned for filing all these frivolous lawsuits….Jesus Christ, he’s a desperate muthaphuqqa!

  2. Um, are PRESIDENTS allowed to sue anyone? I thought if a “President” could not be sued while in office (though President Bill Clinton would have a very good reason to argue that is a bunch of bullcrap), I would’ve thought that a “President” could not sue anyone either.

Maybe I’m just applying a sense of logic that doesn’t exist in the legal community.

    • He’s not a president, or “the” president, he is a former president. Yes, he’s technically entitled to the title, but in his case it’s insanely overused, because his cult has a need to believe that he still is the president.

      • Traitor Tot is not *resident and was never legitimately elected to that office! He somehow corrupted the never needed electoral college. The electoral college failed this nation twice in Traitor Tot’s case…first by going against the popular vote, and second by seating the least qualified person in the history of the world!! What the MAGAt cult believes has no relevance!!!

  3. I read somewhere today, that TFG’s attorneys had to settle in the case of protestors getting roughed up at one of his campaign rallies. The trial was being held in the Bronx and apparently during jury selection, they couldn’t find enough people that didn’t hate him, so they decided to settle. That didn’t happen in the past with lawsuits he was involved in. It seems now the shoe is on the other foot.

  4. Since he’s not legally the president, isn’t the filing a filing under a false/fake name? I remember a time when the WORDS in legal briefs meant something. The law has been exposed unless they slap this silly shit down quickly. Of course he’s been free for almost TWO YEARS after the violent insurrection he organized & conducted while holding the authorities in restraint. People died. He walks. So this is small potatoes. Equal justice? Sure.

    • You bring up a good point. I’ve never seen a pleading like that, as I’ve said. People sue under their natural names. John Jacob Smith or something. I have seen it where if Smith is a doctor and that information is included in the lawsuit, then he might be referred to as “Dr. Smith” but I’ve never seen this kind of thing before, where a person’s title is rammed down your throat every since.

    • Dude, the most that can happen is that the court will just toss it and demand he refile with the proper wording.

“President” is a TITLE; it’s NOT a name so it’s not a case of “filing under a false/fake name.” Whether he’s legally entitled to use the title in a filing is a matter for the law (and the court) to decide. You may not like it but EVERY FORMER PRESIDENT is permitted to retain the title of “President.” For instance, “President Obama.” (Obama is far more experienced in the matter of the law than Trump and would most likely avoid using the term if he needed to file a lawsuit but, as a matter of courtesy, he’s legally entitled to be “President Obama” until the end of time.)

And, again, SPEECH does not automatically lead to jail time in this country (although Trump and the MAGAts–and you, apparently–would like for just that scenario). Show me exactly who died as a DIRECT RESULT OF DONALD TRUMP’S ACTIONS. At best, Trump is closest to Lady MacBeth (if we’re going to go to the realm of tragedy). Lady MacBeth (in case you slept in class) merely ADVOCATED for MacBeth to take the actions he did. Unlike Trump, she realized her own guilt and responsibility for the deaths that happened but she did not actually kill anyone herself.

I don’t, for a single instant, believe that Trump isn’t guilty of SOMETHING. But what that something is or might be, I don’t know. I don’t PRETEND to know, unlike you Scotty. If your crystal ball or your tarot cards or your precognitive/telepathic powers have provided you with ABSOLUTE INCONTROVERTIBLE EVIDENCE of Trump’s crimes and you have not turned over this information to the authorities, then you’re just talk; you just want to be the outraged, aggrieved victim, lashing out at an “unjust” society that won’t kill nine hundred ninety-nine innocent people to ensure the execution of one guilty person.

      • The courts will toss it because Florida has no jurisdiction over the NY AG. Also, she has good reason to want to see the docs on his revocable trust.

      • Ladt MacBeth did not kill anyone, true, but she did get physical blood on her hands becuase she went into the murder room to smear the servants with blood to frame them (later, he killed them before they could be questioned.) So she did have first-hand knowledge of the odor of blood. Vut your point is valid.

  5. ‘This digression comes right after a sentence about the cost to society of frivolous lawsuits, Hand to God. Go check it out, footnote 12, beginning on page 32.’

A new definition of irony. A Trump lawsuit that warns of the cost of frivolous lawsuits.

You. Could. Not. Make. This. Stuff. Up.

    • Believe me, I howled. If New York State sues him, with a mountain of evidence, then that is frivolous. But this motion of his, oh man, it’s rock solid lawyering.

      • If he set up the trust in one of his kid’s names, is there any way he can revoke the trust, convert the paper to an accessible account overseas with direct conversion to large piles of cash to draw on as he pays a private pilot to drop him off in a safe-from-deportation country?

I always thought that with the obvious coward he is, he would hide out …

Something tells me, however, there is a team keeping close tabs on Trump to prevent an early departure from his intended stay in the, “hotel hell”, with many doors …

  6. Joe. His direct action? Not required for us little people. Wonder how many poor folks are in jail because a friend/boyfriend/acquaintance asked them to ride along to buy some weed. Their friend goes into the house & their friend shoots & kills someone while they are in the car waiting for the weed. They didn’t kill anyone. They didn’t even KNOW what was going down. Yet, THE LAW, charges them with murder for being out in the car & they get a stiff prison sentence. Happens daily to poor black kids. Get fucking real. I’m not asking for jail time for people who’ve done nothing like your friends who excuse everything Trump does. I’m asking HE BE HELD RESPONSIBLE FOR THE MOUNTAIN OF CRIMES HE HAS DONE. TO BE ARRESTED & CHARGED. Let the system then hold a trial. Big fucking difference pal. He’s done alot more than just ‘speech”. He’s filed false signed tax forms. He wrote a check to stormy to keep her quiet during the campaign and was named individual number one in a federal case where HIS ATTORNEY WENT TO PRISON. I could go on with many examples, but clearly YOU either aren’t paying as much attention as you claim or you have never been unjustly hammered by the legal system. Another armchair ‘expert’. He was directly responsible for over a million deaths by hiding the truth about covid, lying daily about it AS PRESIDENT ON TV, and did everything to help spread it & not do a thing in his power to combat it for over a year. Fact. If I knew a building full of people had a bomb that was going off & had the power to disarm it or alert the authorities, but I lied in public daily that there was no bomb, & it exploded & killed more citizens than all the wars since 1941, and it was all provable as a result OF MY ACTIONS, I’m sure the LAW wouldn’t charge me with a crime. Sure pal. By the way try reading. I never said arrest him over nothing or over this latest filing. Just that his name isn’t accurate & it should be thrown out or make him refile it. The only group who will never agree he should be charged is the Maga crowd. Maybe you’ve adopted their standards for holding accountable.

    • Thank you Scott. The Joe’s of the world seem to care nothing for facts. Of course Trump is an insurrectionist and a traitor. Abortion may not be mentioned in the Constitution, but treason sure is. Something I think the Democrats should do if the scum take over Congress is refuse to respond to any subpoena from Republican committees. Go to court and claim that the subpoena is invalid because it was issued by insurrectionist who have no legitimate claim to their office. If the scum want to stir up crap then we should start stirring up even more crap. In fact every stinking Republican that had anything at all to do with the insurrection should have their credentials challenged in a DC court and not BF Texas.

    • Sometimes big things come in small packages, like the ring a-soon-to-be-married hopeful guy kneels down and presents to the love of his life …

On the other hand, I would suggest to the armed team that comes to collect Trump for his, “SPECIAL”, court appearance, hand Trump a small box to open, showing the gold plated hand cuffs, engraved with the words, “THE WORLDS BIGGEST LOSER – FORMER, ‘PRESIDENT?’, OF THE UNITED STATES, DJT”

That would be a wonderful touch to ruin the next stage of Trump’s life of shame …

  7. So, what El Trumpoline is saying is that he can commit whatever offences he wants and, if he’s going to be charged, he simply moves house and they can’t touch him?

I do hope the NY AG has a couple of blank extradition warrants to hand

  8. It’s clear Trump has done the dispossessed of America ONE big favor…he’s exposed the LAW for the institutionalized HYPOCRISY it actually is. It’s a system of power set up by the rich & well connected to make up whatever ‘laws’ they want…laws that favor them at every turn of the road, and laws they aren’t held accountable to…all these wait & see apologists are full of shit. Pure and simple. I would bet my balls THEY’VE never been the victims of legal injustice! That’s why they still believe the institutionalized horseshit. By the way what backs up the law? Guns!!!! Force!!!!! Not what’s morally right. Not what promotes the common good. Not what aligns with facts, science, or truth. Fact. That’s why it is more often on the WRONG SIDE. POTSMOKERS SIT IN PRISON WHO’VE DONE NO HARM TO ANYONE WHILE THE KILLERS OF MILLIONS DUE TO OPIOID OVERDOSE(THE SACKLERS), ARE LOUNGING ON THEIR PRIVATE BEACHES. FACT. Thanks frump for demonstrating this in spades.

  9. I was hoping this aert from Axios was related to this story – but, no, this was in New York:

Judge approves New York AG’s bid for monitor to oversee Trump Org
Driving the news: The monitor will oversee the Trump Organization’s preparation of financial statements amid review of a civil lawsuit.
