This is something that is going to get pored over at length before it’s resolved. Look for Karoline Leavitt to do some fancy footwork on what appears, at first blush, to be the MAGA Monarch abandoning his next in line for the throne. Did Trump just let the cat out of the bag? And if so, how exactly did he mean the comment that he just made? First take a look and then we’ll explore the various interpretations of this. There are more than a couple.

You just saw one rationale for why Trump was so emphatically clear that J.D. Vance was out of the running. So let us look at all the possibilities:
- As stated, there will be no more elections. Trump will remain in office in 2028?
- Trump will hand over the crown to a relative. Junior, Eric, Lara, Ivanka, maybe?
- Trump has done for Vance all that he intends to do?
- Trump will have a kind of Hunger Games competition for the MAGA crown?
- If number four takes place, maybe Pete Hegseth and Sean Duffy duke it out?
- Vance will run for president, but it won’t matter because Trump will run as VP in 2028, and Vance will then resign. They’ve already decided this, ya think?
I suppose that there are other possibilities but probably they are a variation on these basic six. Vance is using the trip to Paris and Munich to kick off his debut as a Republican power broker, next in line for the MAGA throne. He will be dismayed when he hears that Trump has quashed that plan right there at the fountainhead, Fox News. It will not be a happy time when J.D. finds out what’s what.
And what other candor might slip right out of Trump’s mouth? As stated, I think Leavitt is probably going to have her hands full with this one. And where is Susie Wiles? Oh, she’s over in the corner doing a Deborah Birx shock face. Don’t expect to hear anything from her anytime soon. She’s busy stocking up on smelling salts for the next time when she faints.
