Trump Flopped So Badly Yesterday Even MAGA Is Panicking

This is revelatory, this early in the game. We are only in month two of this travesty known as Donald Trump’s second term but the Mango Messiah is already showing signs of coming apart at the seams, to the extent that his cult is sending him worried mash notes imploring him to get his “rest.” What, playing golf one third of the time he’s been in office isn’t enough rest? What’s comical is that Trump doesn’t want to have to be *at work* at all, but there are these tacky foreign leaders like the French president and the British PM who keep bugging him by showing up. And now Zelensky is going to come see him, even when he went out of his way to say he didn’t call him a dictator, okay? Sheesh, what’s a guy to do anymore? And even MAGA is worried about the strain poor Donald is under.

“President Trump!!! Please get rest. I hope the First Lady will put her foot down to look out for your health. The briefing with the Prime Minister of the UK … it was clear you were very exhausted,” the user wrote. “We need you on the top of your game! GET REST! We understand the urgency with most things. However you have a very good cabinet, let them deal with economics at home, JD can handle the international spectrum. Elon can still write a list to follow up with you. News outlets can go one day without bombing repeated questions. You just did not have that fierce stance. So please get rest and come back stronger! Do not fail to look out for you!”

I love it that they think Melania is at Trump’s side, his ever loyal help meet, there to mop his fevered brow and give him succor. She’s in New York City, dopes, doing her thing. Not that I blame her one bit.

Another user, @myclanrocks, frequently posts in support of Trump and Elon Musk. But the user agreed with the initial assessment.

“Excellent point. You can’t take care of us if you burn yourself out,” they added.

That led @WindinherhairCAS to double down on the initial point.

“True.. his voice did not come out strong and authoritative as all the past. He had had a busy week.. he needs to let Elon, and his cabinet now needs to pull on their big pants, and brief him once a week.” they wrote. “We can skip a press Q&A or two. He is gonna burn out just as you said. We need him strong!”

Stellar idea. Let’s let Elon run the country and mention to Trump once a week or so what he did in that regard. And that these clowns think that would benefit them, is the tragedy here. They have no idea that their social safety net is the first thing Elon’s chainsaw is going to devastate.

“That’s a thing I’ve been thinking about too. He’s obviously very driven and hard-working (and needs to be), is he getting enough rest to balance that?” Vlastos asked. “People work/function better when they get adequate rest, and from my own lived experience, the tiredness does add up, especially if you deny or try to ignore it. I dunno, it’s his private business and he obviously knows what he’s doing. Just a thought.”

@KarenfromPgh, who supports Trump and has posted negatively about “illegals,” also weighed in: “Mr. President, sir, please take care of yourself. Your family needs you and we need you now more than ever.”

What MAGA doesn’t realize is that this is it. This is what they’re going to see going forward, is the slug, hunched in his chair, mouth downturned, bored out of his mind and not wanting to be there, going through the motions. And meanwhile, in the background, his henchmen run wild.

The cracks in the foundation are already showing. Virginia could have some devastating political losses due to DOGE. Glenn Youngkin has already put up a website to help displaced federal workers find new jobs. Frankly, it reminds me of when Ivanka had her “Find Something New” initiative during COVID and you remember what a farce that was.

Evidently the electorate has a short memory. But maybe when Trump is done wrecking things, that will change. The electorate didn’t want to heed warnings, so now it’s going to have to find out what’s what in the school of hard knocks.
