Okay, look. There is so much on which to crack down on President Donald Trump that there is absolutely no need to really give him a bad time about loving McDonald’s and fast food. The very fact that few of us would, given the alternatives, isn’t necessarily indicative of anything. He likes cheap fast food, so what?

So it’s not like it’s anything personal to him as some sort of insult to write about his McDonald’s fetish. Again, there is so much else, the corruption, the need for pain, the meanness… His eating habits may show that he has very little taste or appreciation for the “subtle” and the special. It might show that he’s quite the simpleton. But again, who really cares? But there is something stunning.

It is the volume of what he orders, his favorite “go to” order when he orders out, that is simply amazing. This isn’t hardcore genius insight and the analysis some of us generally strive for in these columns, but it’s almost harder to believe than most. It is downright gluttony, according to a report in the Irish Times:

Trump’s son-in-law, Jared Kushner, gave insight into Trump’s go-to McDonald’s order in his 2022 memoir, Breaking History: a Big Mac, Filet-O-Fish, fries, and a vanilla shake.

I rarely go first-person in my columns, but here it is. There have been times that I order a “second thing” beside the Big Mac, not often, but if especially hungry, I can order a small cheeseburger or the spicy chicken sandwich even above the Big Mac. Fries are utterly mandatory. There is precious little on earth better than McDonald’s fries straight out, hot, extra salt, so yeah, fries are a given. But one really has to be out on the edge to order something beyond the Big Mac.

But even that’s not it.

It is the fcking vanilla shake on TOP of all that that makes it utterly “Hall of Fame Gluttoness” because – I don’t know about you – I never order shakes, ever, always diet softdrink, but if I did ever order a shake, that would be the meal itself, no fries, no burger, just… Stunning, truly stunning.

Hearing that, it is hard to believe that he’s not even bigger and more overweight than he is. Many note his weight, but at least living down south, one might say he’s damned near average for an American of his age (That’s not “good,” it just goes to show how huge Americans are). So it’s kind of a shock that he’s not even fatter.

It is hard to bring oneself to the point that one is hoping for a fatal heart attack. I have a hard and fast rule. I just don’t ever wish it upon anyone. Pile on in the comments if you want. It is a line I won’t cross. I do want justice, but not in that way. But I can hope that he simply wears down to the point that he cannot be president, doesn’t want it, stays so out of shape that his brain melts down (As quickly as it appears to be doing so), and his diet ensures that he’s making the effort, too.

One hears rumors about Adderall use and Xanax/Ativan, perhaps that’s true, too. We cannot know with certainty. Those pills may help hour to hour, but over the long haul, they would also speed up aging. But those are rumors. According to Jared, the McDonald’s is fact.

So there it is. No genius analysis, just a calorie-filled treat for the reader. It won’t spur growth and insight, but it’s sure a lot healthier than a shake on top of what is already a super-order.

He is doing his part, that’s for sure.

  1. I seem to remember a documentary film about some guy who tried to live on McDonald’s food for a month and wound up with several health problems. This tells me a lot about Trump’s current mental and physical deterioration…

  2. This just seems to go with the fact that he has no filter or self restraint. Whatever he wants, he will go for. He has said that the reason he likes fast food, is that he feels since they don’t know who is ordering, they won’t do bad things to the food. So paranoia is part of the reason.

  3. Your overview above, serves up a salty critique of just how a lack of control implies how weaknesses, cravings and choices are unhealthy expressions of going from the pan to the flame, in more pathological self-inflicted gross ways than one. A person is what they eat, it is said. It is compounded when irresponsible decision making about healthy food choice is easier than a healthier long term approach. There’s nothing that is healthy regarding the dietary habits of you know who, revealed above. In sum, it seems diet is one gross piece, of many gross pieces, that go into the very fibre, strands and weave that make the overall final final form – tacky and gross.

  4. “His eating habits may show that he has very little taste or appreciation for the “subtle” and the special.” Trump to a T in everything we’ve seen and said.

  5. Some hard hitting news there Jason.
Nobody here has anything to say about the massive fraud and theft of the primarily Somali population in Minnesota? Or the failure of the biden administration policy’s that lead to the death of American citizens and guard members?
