Trump Eggs On GOP Suicide, Will McCarthy Really Go Along?

Kevin McCarthy was at Bohemian Grove this past weekend, the males-only conclave that is often referred to as the meeting of the Illuminati or the Shadow Government that really runs the world. The Bilderbergs and the Rothschilds and people of this ilk have, according to legend and lore (and conspiracy theory), made the trek to Northern California to say what’s what and who’s who on the planet, at this annual affair.

“It is said to be where J. ROBERT OPPENHEIMER first discussed the Manhattan Project, which resulted in the dropping of two atomic bombs on Japan in World War II; RICHARD NIXON’s successful 1968 election campaign was reportedly launched at the camp; and it recently made the news when it was revealed that CLARENCE THOMAS visited the club with Republican billionaire HARLAN CROW.” This is from Politico Playbook, which also reports that Kevin McCarthy was there.

McCarthy’s office didn’t return a message about the event last night, but we understand that the speaker was heard making remarks that were bullish on DONALD TRUMP winning the GOP nomination. Not exactly Oppenheimer-level discourse, but given the pair’s recent troubles, the Trump campaign was happy to hear the readout.

“President Trump and Speaker McCarthy have historically had a very good relationship,” said a Trump aide.

So McCarthy is firmly in Trump’s camp. That comes as little surprise and especially since Trump is eclipsing all the competition for the GOP nomination.

Supporting Trump’s third run for the White House is one thing. But impeaching Joe Biden is quite another. And that is what Donald Trump wants McCarthy to do.

Now is McCarthy going to do this? Because  McCarthy was on Hannity Monday night and it sounded like he was going in that direction:

When Biden was running for office, he told the public he has never talked about business. He said his family has never received a dollar from China, which we prove is not true. We have credible whistle-blowers who have come forward, said the Biden family has been treated differently, that what has been told to us is different than what has been told to the public and you are sitting here where you have millions of foreign money with the 1023 alleges what they did to his family now we found that it has funneled through shell companies. Sitting in our position, we wouldn’t know none of this if Republicans hadn’t taken the majority. This is rising to the level of an impeachment inquiry. It provides Congress the strongest power to get the rest of the knowledge and information needed. This president has also used something we haven’t seen since Richard Nixon. The weaponization of government to benefit his family and deny Congress the ability to have oversight.

“Credible whistle blowers?” Where? To quote PoliticusUSA, “The whistleblowers that McCarthy referred to are a mix of people on the payroll of Trump allies, convicted felons, and fugitives from justice.”

Ok, so House Republicans have no evidence, but they are going to impeach Joe Biden based on Russian misinformation delivered to them by Four Seasons Landscaping carrier pigeon Rudy Giuliani.

However, Kevin McCarthy keeps stopping short of saying that House Republicans are going to impeach Joe Biden. The Speaker keeps promising an impeachment investigation. An impeachment investigation is not an impeachment vote, but for our purposes, let’s assume that the far-right authoritarian wannabes take the training wheels off and drive the House GOP clown car off of the impeachment cliff.

What happens next?

House Republicans Impeach Biden And Then Burn It All Down

There has never been a situation in American history where a House majority has threatened a president with impeachment with no evidence, and their basis was a debunked conspiracy. […]

Assuming that Kevin McCarthy can get the dozens of House Republicans in districts that Biden won to vote to impeach the president, and thus throw away any hope they once had of continuing their careers in the House, any impeachment of Biden would immediately die in the Senate.

It would be expected that Majority Leader Schumer would do the bare constitutional minimum and would waste no time getting any Biden impeachment to a final vote to convict.

That would be a nightmarish situation for the GOP. That is nothing that they should be chasing. Does McCarthy even bother to run any of this past Mitch McConnell, or do they not speak to one another?

It’s obvious that what the House Republicans want to do is deflect from the looming third Trump indictment — which could happen this week, even — and then don’t forget the equally looming fourth indictment, in Georgia. Now is also the time frame when that might be moved upon.

The big picture in all this is that Donald Trump is a pathetic crook. If Joe Biden is also framed as being cut from the same bolt of cloth, well, there you have it, which crook do you want in the White House? This may seem incredible and it is incredible but this is what the House Republicans are doing, is seeking a bothsiderism equality, in order to detract from the awful truth that their standard bearer is the poster child of corruption.

Definitely McCarthy is catering to Trump by even going along with an allusion to an impeachment but will he actually go there and do it? Has McCarthy thought this through? I don’t think so.

To most of the nation, it won’t be Biden who will be wearing the impeachment. It will be Donald Trump along with House and Senate Republicans.

A Biden impeachment is a classic shortsighted scheme from House Republicans that will appeal to their base and make them even more toxic to the rest of the country.

The Biden and Democratic Party ads write themselves.

Joe Biden smiled and walked away when asked about McCarthy and impeachment.

If House Republicans are looking for a way to ensure that the GOP loses everything in 2024, Biden’s impeachment is a great first place to start.

Let’s face it, when the Bill Clinton/Monica Lewinsky affair broke and Clinton was impeached, the big controversy was: Does this rise to the level of misbehavior covered in the constitution? And sleazy as Clinton’s behavior may have been, a High Crime and Misdemeanor it was not. Legal scholars are pretty much settled on that score. But, at the time, it was a good witch hunt and it happened. In this instance, McCarthy doesn’t have anything anywhere near Lewinsky or a blue dress. He’s got Rudy Giuliani planting evidence that is frankly laughable.

But McCarthy may do it. Do not forget, this is the same McCarthy that foresaw a red tsunami, 40 or more seats, and what he got is the House majority, by the skin of his teeth.

Let’s see what he tries. My instinct is that there’s a 50/50 chance he’ll go for it and impeach Biden and then the electorate will speak their mind — as they have in the last three elections.

Let’s see which way McCarthy flips. Or, if you believe that the Illuminati was in fact in attendance at Bohemian Grove, let’s see what he was directed to do. Either way, only one thing is certain: we’re going to see more political farce. With the cast of characters we’ve got in office in the House, it can go no other way.
