There are things you can count on. The earth turns and the sun rises in the east each morning. Trump says or does (or both) something bonehead stupid. And most of the media will gloss over it like it’s no big deal. I don’t know about you, but Trump not knowing the difference between “storm supercells” which have been talked about lately, or “terrorist SLEEPER cells” is kind of a bigly deal. Alas, since it was Trump and not Joe Biden making this verbal gaffe you probably won’t see it talked about on the news.
Fortunately Raw Story wrote about this. Trumpty is grumpy today. He didn’t get to play golf this weekend and now he has to fly off to Europe for the NATO summit. He knows he doesn’t belong there and that the other leaders know what a dumbass he is. He’ll rationalize their patronizing comments about how ‘awesome’ or ‘crucial’ he is to maintaining peach/the world order but deep inside he’ll know it’s all bull-shite. Worse for him will be late at night with no one around to kiss his fat white butt as he thinks about the others making fun of him behind his back.
Bearing that in mind, and the fact that golly gee people like the media and even GOP Congress Critters are questioning his bravado about having obliterated Iran’s nuclear capability he’d be in a bad mood. The Iran/Israel ‘cease fire’ he wanted to claim TOTAL credit for seems to have been falling apart this morning too. So Trump had to go and brag about how HE was all over fixing a problem Biden (so Trumpty claims) hung around his neck! On his way to Marine One Trumtpy regaled us with tales of Iranian terrorists, hordes of them being allowed into this country by Biden. So many they had “Super Cells” of terrorists:
Responding to questions about possible Iranian retaliation following recent strikes on nuclear sites, Trump launched into a confusing critique that appeared to conflate terrorist “sleeper cells” with meteorological phenomena. “Biden let a lot of supercells into the United States,” Trump declared. “He was an incompetent president. He had no idea what he was doing.”
The president’s remarks seemed to be a muddled attempt to discuss national security threats, accidentally using the term “supercells” — which typically refers to rotating thunderstorms — instead of “sleeper cells,” the term describing hidden terrorist operatives.
Maybe Trumpty had a flashback to redrawing weather maps or something. Weather is a lead news story in recent days due to the extreme heat. That of course tends to wind up leading to major storms. Some of which get called Supercells. Terrorist sleeper cells on the other hand are always small and tight-knit. That’s how they stay hidden. Huge, ‘bigly’ terrorist SUPER cells would make for bad operational security. Trump of course is too freaking stupid to know that! But the man who professes to have a “Very fine brain” has a quite limited vocabulary and when a buzzword worms it’s way into his head he can’t help but use it. Hence the title of this piece and Trumpty’s ‘whatever’ attitude.
He just wanted to sound both knowledgeable and tough. Instead he again revealed himself to be stupid and weak. Like I said at the beginning, there are some things you can count on every single day. I’ll close with a question: What if Joe Biden had made that verbal gaffe? For most of his political career he was a gaffe machine, due to his stutter which so often cause an actual very fine brain to work faster than his mouth. Until the 2024 campaign even much of the media blew it off like they should.
Biden at least had a reason for his history of verbal gaffes but everyone knew he was ‘all there’ upstairs. Trump on the other hand has always said and done stupid things because he’s actually freaking stupid! So think about that. And that this idiot President is meeting with other NATO leaders…

After you wrote about the NATO Summit, I checked and found out this year’s summit is being held in The Hague in the Netherlands.
You know, the home of the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court.
It’d be such a pity if the Dutch police arrest Drumpf the minute he steps off the plane for his self-admitted war crimes (notably, bombing a sovereign nation without having formally declared war) and put Drumpf on trial. (I know, I know. But as Debbie Harry sang with Blondie, “Dreaming is free.”)
Now you know the rich privileged politicians wouldn’t have the courage for that, although it is a nice dream.

The Dunning Kruger Effect:
Individuals with limited knowledge or skill in a particular area often fail to recognize their own incompetence. This lack of self-awareness leads them to believe they are more capable than they actually are.
This particular NATO summit’s an important one, given all that’s going on, including NATO and EU countries committing (at last) to re-armament in the face of Russian war-mongering, so Trumpler’s presence will be particularly annoying. All he does is get in the way of the adults trying to get actual work done. Let’s hope he pulls another G7, ie gets pissed off when nobody wants to talk to him and flies home in tears.
