It goes without saying that Putin and Kim can’t wait for him to get back in office. Every tyrant in the world is hoping and praying for exactly the same thing. The way Trump frames it, it’s as if Kim Jong-Un is some champion of democracy, and the MAGAs are so stupid they buy it. They honestly think that Trump is some power broker that is liked and respected by the tyrants of this planet because he’s so uber competent. No, they mock and loathe him as much as anybody else, they just know how to manipulate him.
I don’t know which is the more unbelievable, that Trump touts Kim as a reference or that MAGA cheers him on. You know the saying, in the valley of the blind, the one-eyed man is king. In the valley of MAGA, the blind man is king. This next tweeter hits the bullseye.
I also remember when such a statement, saying a dictator “wants me back in the White House,” especially during a presidential campaign, would be disqualifying per se. But in Trump world, in the Upside Down, where snow is black and coal is white and bad is good and evil a quality to be sought after and perfected, much as beauty is to the normal mind, it makes perfect sense.
Let’s see how Trump fares next week in New Hampshire. Let’s see if it’s like Iowa, with the lowest caucus turnout in 24 years. And then let’s see if Trump wins. He’s only four points ahead of Haley, 37% to 33% so that’s a statistical tie, technically.
If Trump does lose, then that fact, along with the fact of 47% of Iowa caucus goers voting for somebody else last night, will tend to prove a theory, which is: Trump can’t possibly win in the general election. He’s got too many variables against him, not the least of which is that members of his own party can’t stand him. Then again, between not being able to stand a candidate, and voting for a Democrat, there are a lot of people who will say, “Phuque it,” and pull the lever for Trump.
