The world would be having a much more laid back Xmas this year if the Troll In Chief hadn’t been reelected to the White House. Justin Trudeau is a familiar target these days for reasons I’ve already opined, i.e., that Trump hates Trudeau because the man is everything Trump is not: young, handsome, smart, capable, athletic and decent. The latest troll is to suggest that hockey player Wayne Gretsky is the logical person to run to replace Trudeau — not at Prime Minister but the nonexistent role of “Governor” of the nonexistent State of Canada. The only new state on the horizon is the uniquely deranged one that Trump’s mind is entering as hubris and vainglory combine with dementia and narcissisma. One hell of a toxic brew, that. Especially in one person and particularly when that person is a head of state.

Trump is relishing his stupid joke while everybody else wishes he would just shut up already. While everybody else is either feasting or enjoying presents or the company of others on Xmas Day, Trump is harassing his enemies on social media. That is the measure of the man, mark it well.
President-elect Trump threw his support behind NHL legend Wayne Gretzky as a potential candidate for Canadian prime minister in a post on social media on Wednesday.
Trump wrote on Truth Social that Canadians should follow.
“I just left Wayne Gretzky, ‘The Great One as he is known in Ice Hockey circles. I said, ‘Wayne, why don’t you run for Prime Minister of Canada, soon to be known as the Governor of Canada – You would win easily, you wouldn’t even have to campaign,’” Trump wrote.
“He had no interest, but I think the people of Canada should start a DRAFT WAYNE GRETZKY Movement. It would be so much fun to watch!”
Trump’s post came as Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau has faced pressure to step down. Earlier this month, Finance Minister Chrystia Freeland resigned from Trudeau’s cabinet. At the same time, opposition leader Jagmeet Singh called on Trudeau to resign.
Trump also weighed in after Freeland resigned.
“The Great State of Canada is stunned as the Finance Minister resigns, or was fired, from her position by Governor Justin Trudeau,” Trump posted to his Truth Social, trolling Trudeau, after previously suggesting Canada should become the 51st state in the USA.
“Her behavior was totally toxic, and not at all conducive to making deals which are good for the very unhappy citizens of Canada. She will not be missed!!!”
For now this is the distraction Trump has come up with to steer the MAGAs attention away from his disastrous cabinet appointments to come, and other promises that will never come, namely mass deportation and plummeting grocery costs. And it’s even money on whether Trump will try his magical version of tariffs out. Tariffs do not work the way he says and that’s going to be plainly evident when he imposes them and the prices of moo moos and flip flips at Walmart skyrocket.
So in order to get the news cycle and his cult followers’ attention headed elsewhere, he needs to create chaos and distraction. That’s what this is. And it’s only the beginning. The more that Trump can’t deliver the more juice he’s going to put into his fantasy projects like the Panama Canal, Greenland and Canada.
Shame on every stupid idiot who voted for this mentally ill reprobate and opened a Pandora’s Box of horror for our beautiful country. Buyer’s remorse will be brutal and 4 years long.
It’s not the sheer inanity and insanity of his bizarre statements that grates so much as the inevitable sane-washing of them by the billionaire owned media.
‘Oh yes, even though we still haven’t properly sorted out Puerto Rica’s status, or Washington D.C., or American Samoa, let’s discuss bringing Canada in as a state, (just the one state though, we can’t be bothered looking any closer at the provinces coming in as states themselves- considering things properly involves thinking, which is way too hard.), let’s discuss this ‘idea’ as if it makes any sense – oh, and whether the Canadians want it or not.’

What real thing is he trying to distract everyone from noticing?
Perhaps King Charles III should give a speech recommending the appointment of a Governor General and Privy Council for the new Crown dominion of the United States as the current “Republic” seems incapable of governing itself. If the United States is so desirous of having a monarch, then it should simply return to the British fold as the United Kingdom has a long history of an established monarchy and would be more capable of handling the transition.
Hmmm. That’s an idea. Since Putin wants territory…and we took land from Mexico, France, and Russia, plus he keeps threatening others…maybe Briton, Canada, Mexico, Russia, France, Panama, Denmark and others he threatens, should form an alliance to invade. A post NATO…alliance. They already know half this country hates this MFer. Problems do need a creative solution. Ha.
