If there is one thing that boggles the mind above all else, it is that anybody, Mike Pence in particular would feign shock at anything Donald Trump does. Maybe it’s a forest for the trees kind of a thing. Pence is reportedly “disappointed and saddened” by the fact that Trump sent the mob down to the Capitol, with an intent to kill him. Ummm….like, you couldn’t have connected the dots and figured out that Lin Wood suggesting your execution, Rudy Giuliani calling for “trial by combat” and the MAGAts chanting “F*ck Mike Pence” as they stormed the hill, didn’t mean that you were in some serious doo doo? CNN:

As of Saturday evening, Trump and Pence still have not spoken since the Wednesday incursion at the US Capitol that left five people dead, including a Capitol Police officer, another source told CNN. The President has also not made any public comments denouncing death threats that have been posted on social media targeting Pence.
Pence has finally “gotten a glimpse of POTUS’s vindictiveness,” one source said, using the acronym for President of the United States.
Two sources familiar with the matter say Trump is angry at Pence and Pence is disappointed and saddened by Trump.

The truth of the matter is, if the mob had ripped Pence to shreds, Trump wouldn’t have cared. Trump literally is that callous. If you think that he feels bad that a Capitol Hill police officer and four others lie dead, he does not. Melania’s former BFF Stephanie Winston Wolkoff said, and I quote,”They will depart the White House, with no regrets, leaving dead bodies behind, and driving off to Mar-a-Lago without looking back.” That’s from somebody who has spent a great deal of time with them and who knows them personally. The Trumps don’t care about anybody and anything but themselves.

Pence has not ruled out an effort to invoke the 25th Amendment and wants to preserve the option in case President Donald Trump becomes more unstable, a source close to the vice president says.

The source said there is some concern inside Pence’s team that there are risks to invoking the 25th Amendment or even to an impeachment process, as Trump could take some sort of rash action putting the nation at risk.
As you have probably heard, both Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Schumer have tried to phone Pence to discuss this but he wouldn’t come to the phone. So it’s doubtful that much of anything will happen in the next nine days. And in truth, Trump is so focused on the loss of the love of his life, Twitter, that he may be consumed by that until he leaves the White House. Jack Dorsey, Twitter’s owner, may have done his country a great service in more ways than one by keeping the lunatic-in-chief focused away from doing damage.

  2. Pence is afraid of something. Fear is holding him back IMO. Remember the water bottle incident? 45 put the water bottle down, Pence did right after? Manafort put Pence up for VP when Chris Christie thought he had it in the bag. Pence has been the Stepford Wife to 45. Why?

    • Look for the easiest explanation when it comes to all things Trump. In this case, Pence got in on the criminal grift early on and is liable for much more of it than we know. THAT would be my nominee for best answer.

  3. If the Trumpies keep pushing their luck, the dead bodies in the White House might be their own before it’s over. Pissing off the planet is an excellent way to fasttrack your own funeral.

    • Unlikely…he’s been seeing it all along. It’s just the first time he’s seen it aimed at him. A pro dominatrix would have been expensive but also more therapeutic for him, I think.

  4. Actually, IF Pence has had eight Cabinet members tell him they will sign on if he invokes the 25th it’s the best option for preventing Trump from “doing something rash.” Also to prevent him from issuing any more pardons, or further debasing the Presidential Medal of Freedom by awarding it to deplorable people who should be rotting in prison. Here’s the thing. IF Pence has the votes all he has to do is call and have them all say head out to dinner at a specific place. I think Trump’s hotel in DC would be the deliciously perfect spot, and since it’s his place that number of people that high up in his administration showing up around the same time wouldn’t seem all that unusual. Then they gather at a table and sign the freaking paper and BOOM! It’s done. Pence can head to the WH and inform Trump, who will freak the hell out. Yes, Trump can challenge it with Congress but just as McConnell can run out the clock on impeachment until after the inauguration with ease, he and Pelosi can run out the clock on Trump being able to gain back his Presidential powers for the same time frame. For a couple of experienced operators like them the parliamentary tricks to stretch things out ten days (or even more) would be child’s play. I think that’s what McConnell is actually hoping for, and I’d bet he’s working feverishly behind the scenes to whip votes in the Cabinet and present them to Pence & pressure him into pulling the trigger on the process. The main thing is using the 25th and getting it done quietly would mean Trump could be stripped of power without him even knowing until it’s done. That would probably be the safest thing for everyone and the country. Especially now that he, and it looks like his evil spawn (Uday, Qusay and the wannabe Princess Ivanka) and some of the rest of his enablers are also being throttled on social media. Also, there’s no requirement that news organizations, and I mean the major outlets with national and international reach are required to carry any appearance in the press room (or wherever) to complain LIVE. Nope. They can let him rant all he wants and show however little of it (picking the most bat-shit crazy, except perhaps for Fox) to air in an edited version. And I’d be willing to bet that the Murdochs (Ruppert and son Lachlan) have (or will instantly do so if Trump gets tossed this way) issued orders that any putting him on live will result in terminations. Do you think with all the money they’re worth THEY care if they lose a few lawsuits from Fox’s evening hosts?

  5. “Becomes more unstable” ??!!

He tried to kill you in a putsch to take over the government by violence.

    What else could convince you?

  6. What is this? “Becomes more unstable” ??!!

He tried to kill you in a putsch to take over your government by violence.

    What else could convince you?

  7. Yeah pence, hold off in case he becomes more unstable. You know like instigate & celebrate a violent overthrow of congress putting their lives at risk. U mean something like that mike?
