Donald Trump never seems to understand the meaning of the phrase “shut up” and his constant harassing of people whom he believes are going against him has gotten him in trouble more than once. Never has that been clearer than how he handled himself during the first and second E. Jean Carroll defamation cases.
Mary Trump noted that her uncle Donald Trump had lobbed “personal attacks” at the judge presiding over the E. Jean Carroll trial, and she alleged that a lawyer told her that Trump could wind up in jail if he didn’t cut it out, Raw Story reports.
“tonight, donald’s attorneys have asked for a mistrial in the e. jean carroll case. It’s a gutsy—or desperate move considering judge [lewis] kaplan already declined their identical request last week,” mary Trump said. “this lack of respect for the court is a pattern. Donald, who already has two active gag orders against him in his nyc fraud trial and the january 6th case, just tested the limits of his conduct and the behavior of his attorneys in his civil defamation trial, too,” she continued.
That’s not all Mary had to say. She knows her uncle is a huge bully and said he “tore into Judge Lewis Kaplan and personally attacked him for not delaying the trial for his mother-in-law’s funeral.” He’s never grown out of his spoiled little rich boy persona. He thinks the world stops at his feet and bends to his will and it hasn’t yet seemed to dawn on him that this is just not the case. And Mary Trump spelled out something quite obvious:
“first of all, donald’s attendance at the trial was option (he did not appear at the first defamation trial), and, second, instead of being with his family all week, he’s been on the campaign trail.”
So Mary Trump talked to attorney Joe Gallina to see what could happen next, and that Trump “is using his appearance at court to speak to his base.”
“he’s playing the victim, which works well with them, while attempting to malign the judge, intimidate e. jean carroll, and undermine the accusations by claiming it’s all a political ‘witch hunt,'” Gallina said. “sure he’ll score some political points, but he’s really damaging his case.”
Gallina reportedly said this is a difficult situation for Trump because he’s put in an “impossible position” since the “more he attempts to appease his base, the more he’ll turn off the jury.”
This is just so typical of Trump, and his top lawyer, Alina Habba has at turns done things like not standing up when the judge entered the courtroom, which then led to him rebuking her sternly, and she’s also talked back to him rudely. So that’s likely not to win her or her client any points. To Gallina, this means the situation for Trump could get considerably worse.
“in fact, i predict after witnessing the way trump and his legal team have acted, the jury could award e. jean carroll a significantly higher anount than the original $5 million verdict— and it’s likely,” he said. “There are also a host of punishments available to judge kaplan to apply to donald if he continues to act out. it stands to reason we’ll hear a description of what those might be of. Donald could face fines and even be thrown in jail for contempt if he ignores repeated warnings.”
Well, if that’s the case, it couldn’t happen to a nicer guy. I’d pay real money to see that happen. His cruelty to E. Jean Carroll knows no bounds, but fortunately, it looks like she’s going to have the last laugh.

Trump “…could end up in jail.”. We’ve heard this numerous times. What’s the holdup?
When we lived in GA,my younger SiL.had an ex husband who was a ,lot like Donald. When she suspected he was cheating, she hired a P.I. She learned that he she was wife #4, not #3. And he had done hard time as,a,drug dealer.
One evening my husband accompanied. her to the drop off point for him to return their daughter, at the combo Police Station and Fire Station,because the dumbarse had been threatening when he
kicked up.the kid. W, as we will call him, came over to the car and started giving her a hard time very loudly. My husband got out and told him to.leave SiL around.
W said something like “Make me.”
Husband:”If I have to,h yes. But I think.it would be easier and quicker to.just ask one of the cops to step in.”
A bit later, husband walked into a fast food joint and sat down to.eat,when he spied W. He ignored W who left ahead of him. When husband went to.the var, he noticed a nasty large spot where someone had keyed the car.
A few days later, husband received a summons to show why W should not have a,TRO.against him. Among the many reasons given was the kid, all.of 3 at the time, had told him.my husband had keyed his cst. BS. And that my husband wss a “self-proclaimed witch (devil.worshipper).”. So husband goes to court accompanied by Who’s lawyer, who.had obvious had a belly ful of W. W sat there and mouthed off like a mini-Trump. He pissed off the judge do much that he told the lawyer to control.your client. He explained that W didn’t behave to approve of our religion (husband had explained we were Wiccan, didn’t do curses) but the first amendment gave us the same rights as Christians, and it was not an acceptable reason for a TRO and that he the judge,,wasn’t. buying that the ,3 year old told him who keyed his car. W mouthed off again and the judge said if he said one more word, he would find him.and the lawyer in contempt and the could share a jail.cell.
whole he was reading about Trump’s behavior I could help thinking how much he had in common with W. Only difference was hoe much money they had.
Oh and during the jury trial.for the divorce, he lied about income, but my SiL.had saved a copy of the tax return, and he was caught in a lie. The jury hated him so.much, they doubled the child support! Apparently the jury in Trump,’s first trial.felt the same way.
Since dingleberry did not learn the lesson imparted by the first $5M judgement against him, he should be deprived of every last cent he has. Maybe that will get his attention.
