The Mark Of The Beast conspiracy theory was languishing for years until COVID-19 came along. That was a match made in CT heaven. Prior to COVID, the theory was that people would be implanted with chips, the “mark” and be unable to do anything at all without the implant, i.e., no groceries, no ability to enter or leave buildings, you name it. You had to have the mark upon you to function in this new world order.
Then along came COVID and glory, hallelujah, instant marriage. Match up the Mark Of The Beast CT with the need for people to become vaccinated. And now, years later, QAnoners and other wingnuts of the right-wing stripe are meeting and having conventions to discuss it all.

Now the other CT that dovetails right into this, is of course the Big Lie. Think of it now, you’ve got a stolen election and a biblical prediction, which feeds into the existing paranoia of government and talk of the Rapture and End Times. Is it perfect, or what? And it was all cobbled together in a spirit cooker by satanic Satan worshippers, the guy just said so. Do you love it?

Now the consummate irony here, is that all these right-wing influencers are trying to get to the inside lane to get to Trump, but even if they just walked right up to Trump and he welcomed them with open arms — he doesn’t have anything to tell them or to give them. He is as clueless and directionless, if not more so, than they are. But they’re all trying to get on his bandwagon, while he himself is not only not driving the bandwagon, he wouldn’t know where to tell the bandwagon to go if you asked him for an address to take it to. He’s just a reactive mass of impulses and needs at this point, like staying out of prison and getting back in the limelight and power of the presidency, but he has nary a clue as to how to get there.
In the valley of the blind, the one eyed man is king. And nobody is looking for the one eyed man harder than Trump is.
This is how Jim Jones got painted into the kool-aide corner and how the Heaven’s Gate cult leader created his out with a mass suicide as well. They had no big plan, no next level to take their cult to. It will be interesting to see how the Cult of Trump takes its last bow, with a dramatic flourish, or will it just fade away into oblivion?
I agree, but as interesting as WE find everything, as we observe the massive crash … there is a huge problem out there, big bunches of semi-auto weapons and their ammo, with dumb-ass people like Cruz, that continually support even MORE ownership, freeing up those that would go out and get them, but for that little flash of common sense left over from their high school days, hesitate to spend so much for something so horribly powerful and dangerous …. and cannot imagine shooting their neighbor, much less anyone else …
Just another reason to mute Cruz and anyone else publicly espousing the beauties of owning such death machines in every household … somebody, innocent, young and full of life, will die, somewhere and Cruz will be responsible …

I believe these types of people are trying to incite the masses to an armageddon type insurrection to attempt to create their end of times theory. They have blood lust after January 6th. They are a scary bunch of loons. I have no idea what will prevent them from carrying out their delusions. I fear for our democracy.
OF COURSE they are. It’s the one thing they’ve had to look forward to their entire lives. Now that they’re getting older, more unhealthy and less relevant to the world around them, they live in dread of it not happening at all.
Democracy is in far more danger from the GQP in office. They’re the ones that make laws.
The Delta variant of Covid cannot spread quickly enough to rid us of these idiots. I wonder what the next disease will be and when it will grace us with its presence because it may take a few of them to cut into the stupid-laden population of our country.
