There are good investments, there are bad investments, and then there is the horrific investment in play time for Trump that this country is locked into since we now pick up the tab for all his excursions to Mar-a-Lago, Bedminster, or other venues to play golf. Trump has spent an estimated 29% of his time back in office out golfing and taxpayers pick up the tab for all this. That would be bad enough on its face but we are gaslighted into believing that the tireless fireball that is the 79-year-old Trump is continually working on our behalf, day and night.
Trump’s golf trips have cost taxpayers nearly $71 million since January and could exceed $300 million this term, according to HuffPost. His first-term total was $151.5 million.

The price tag just keeps going up on this guy and the truth of the matter is that he is costing Americans a price in goodwill in the world that is beyond measurement and that we never stop paying. Or, at least not for many decades to come. The Germans are still living down Hitler.

That is some level of brainwashing. So many books have been written already on this phenomenon and you can expect so many more to be written. The Trump phenomenon is not easily distilled but it is two basic things: a kind of grass roots rebellion against decency coupled with the illusion that television created about this man for fourteen years. It’s a powerful portion, one that half of the country is force fed on a daily basis because we see the truth, we don’t buy the illusion.
He makes money playing golf at his places. He profits from housing secret service, etc. Where are the repugs who care about this country?
