    • That’s is rule number one of any person who is indicted or charged with a crime. Last time I checked we still had the 5th Amendment, made applicable to the states through the 14th Amendment, in that every person who is charged with a crime is innocent until proven guilty.
Or do you find that a mere inconvenience? If so, perhaps you would prefer a change to the Constitution and its Amendments?
As far as I am concerned, he has been found guilty of a sex crime in Florida and is a registered sex offender. Until such time that he either pleads guilty or is found guilty by a jury, he is innocent until proven guilty by the government.

        • Sometimes – those are the ones who are probably going to not do anything illegal again. The ones like Epstein will keep doing it until they die. (Remember, he’s pleaded guilty before, and got off lightly.) He’s clearly a sexual predator.

        • Yes, people do plead guilty. However, if you are facing felonies or serious misdemeanors then you do not plead guilty until there is a plea agreement. Federal court judges do not accept a plea of guilty when an indictment is unsealed in court. At that point he would have been appointed a public defender. Most state court judges will not accept a guilty plea at that point in the proceedings either. They want to make sure that the plea cannot be overturned on appeal and that the defendant actually understands the consequences of the plea. That means a public defender will be appointed to provide counsel on the charges, the evidence, etc.
