The Twelve Days of Christmas are twelve days of celebration beginning on Christmas Day and continuing through to January 5th or 6th depending on which history you read. In our house, the twelve days following Christmas Day are known as the twelve days of recovery, equally divided into six days before and six days after New Year’s Eve.

However, the furkids prefer to begin their Twelve Days twelve days before the traditional Twelve Days of Christmas (and if you could follow all that, you’re happily sober even if you haven’t finished your Christmas shopping yet.)

As this is a Furkids celebration, it is more properly known as the Twelve Days of Catmas. Beginning December 13, it will continue with a post each day right up to Catmas Eve.

The music begins with a short refrain and will get longer each day as more gifts are added to the list.

So press play on the jukebox, scoot down to the illustrated lyric and sing along!

  1. {{{Michelle}}} I always love the 12 Days of Catmus! (& Chickens *are* easier to come by than partridges, aren’t they? LOL) Thank you, thank you, thank you. And the Furkids, of course. Skritches and {{{HUGS}}} all around, as appropriate.

    • This is the Furkids’ Catmas gift to you because they know it’s because of you that they remind me throughout the year to do this! It’s one of the things I enjoy the most.
PS: The chickens felt it was their turn to have a starring role!
