Yeah, I know, we’re still more than 3 months away from the 2022 midterms. But it doesn’t really matter, does it? After all, there’s speculation that Traitor Tot may announce his candidacy before the end of the month.
I have previously written that Trump is killing the GOP in 2022 by continuing to hammer The Big Lie of massive voter fraud in 2020. But it’s worse. Because in the 2022 GOP primaries, Trombie acolyte after Trombie acolyte is losing in the primaries, and they’re blaming it on Massive voter fraud! Since these are GOP primaries, that can only mean that the GOP is rigging their own primaries for a desired result.
A brief tour through primary electoral history. In the summer of 2015, when Trump clanked and farted his way down that schlock escalator, cheered by paid supporters, Trump was a joke. In bad taste. But with 17 candidates, he garnered enough of the base vote to build a stockpile of delegates. But he took no chances. Throughout the primaries, he screamed that the only way he could lose was if the primaries were rigged! And Trump won.
The story was different in 2020. Traitor Tot was king, and had long supplanted that spineless jellyfish Ronna Romney McDaniel as the Diktator of the RNC. Trump knew that he was unpopular, and a legitimate primary season might weaken him. So he simply did away with the Presidential primaries in 2020. And the path to the renomination was cleared for Trump.
But before you know it, the 2024 GOP presidential primaries will be upon us. And whether for ego or self preservation, Trump is highly likely to run again. And brings out the GOP’s worst nightmare scenario. Because the landscape has changed from 2020, and not to Trump’s benefit.
Chris Hayes laid it out perfectly tonight on All In. Trump is no longer the President. Recently polling shows that only 46% of GOP voters want Trump to run again in 2024. And some polls are showing Trump actually trailing FL Governor Ron Pissantis within the margin of error. Trump’s base may be loyal, but some of the rest of the party is starting to lose it’s love.
But Trump’s base is the problem. With Trump’s diminished authority in the GOP and RNC, and a whole stable of GOP wannabe thoroughbreds itching to run in 2024, it is difficult to believe that the RNC will be able to get through 2024 without a full primary process. Which is potentially terrible news for Trump.
Let’s say that there are primaries in 2024. Even before the first primary, Trump will bellow that the only way he can lose is if the primaries are rigged! And if Trump starts to trail, or even fall out of serious contention, he gets even more feral. And then all hell breaks loose.
Because if it becomes apparent that Trump is going to lose, he’ll have a full blown Trumper tantrum. He’ll withdraw from the rigged race, and he’ll take his base with him. Maybe he’ll threaten again to mount an independent campaign, or maybe he’ll just tell them that the GOP is corrupt, and their votes don’t matter, so don’t bother to show up and vote. And if that happens, then the GOP gets blown out.
This is why the 2022 midterms are important. The Trumpster Fire keeps hammering home the stolen election of 2020 and massive voter fraud. We already know by statistical evidence that that worked in the Georgia Senate special elections, Trombies stayed home. And now larval Trombies are screaming Massive voter fraud in primaries being run by their own party! If Trump voters listen, the GOP may yet snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. And set up a nightmare scenario for the GOP in 2024. Don’t touch that dial.
Make no mistake………Glenn Youngkin, the lying, two faced “moderate” poseur Governor of Virginia will run for President in 2024……he’s out in Nebraska right now, right next to 1st in the nation Iowa, making moo moo noises to the local yokels….and then there’s Death Satan in Florida……so Trump will certainly not trip the light fantastic right back to the R nomination.
……and neither one of these guys wants to be second fiddle on a Trump headed ticket, so no chance of a prid pro quo……plus, see how well that worked out for Mike Pence after delivering Trump-O the Assclown the Talibangelical vote…..*nods*
So, 46% of Gop voters say they’ll vote for traitor tot…you say “only”. That kind of means 54% of Gop voters are presumably spread over a few or several other candidates (ok, there are some undecides but still…). That looks pretty good for trump quite frankly. There will be voters who, when their candidate doesn’t get the ‘pube nod, will take their ball and go home.
