In an article a day or so I outlined the actual genesis of the Haitians eating pets bullsh*t to a bunch on neo-Nazi d*cks and an isolated incident 100 miles from Springfield where a demented white woman apparently killed a cat and ate it in front of her neighbors.
But as Alex Wagner related last night, there actually was an incident involving Haitians and pets in Springfield, Ohio. Problem is, it occurred several months prior to the current outrages visiting the town, and actually proved a lesson in grace and humility.
Short version. A woman in Springfield, Ohio lost her pet cat. She looked everywhere for the frisky feline, bedrooms, kitchen, living room, behind the sofa and under the beds, probably in dresser drawers and the toilet tanks. No tabby. So she wandered the neighborhood calling the cats name and looking behind bushes and in trees for her missing pet. Nothing.
Not knowing what else to do, she went to the police station and filed a Missing Feline report. I can almost imagine the radio traffic, Be on the lookout for a missing tabby, brown and gray with white socks front feet. The subject is to be considered clawed and dangerous. In the course of talking to the police, she said she suspected her Haitian neighbors may have purloined the cat, since she had seen them looking at the cat and yammering away in Haitian when it was in the yard. At no time did the woman even suggest that her neighbors had fricasseed Fluffy.
Why are your car keys always in the last place you look? Duh. When you find them you stop looking. Later on, the woman opened the door to go down to the basement, and there on ther top step was Snuggles. Apparently the cat had snuck between her legs when the door was open, and she didn’t see it. Embarrassed, she called the police to go ahead and cancel the BOLO and APB’s for the cat.
But what about the neighbors? She had falsely accused them of stealing her pet, and presumably an officer showed up to at least ask a few preliminary questions. They had to know it was her. What to do?
The only thing she could think of. She girded her loins, went to the neighbors porch and knocked on the door. When it was answered she asked to come in. When she got to the living room, she apologized humbly and profusely, using a Google translator on her phone to do it in Haitian so there would be no confusion or misunderstanding. Their acceptance of her apology was as gracious as her apology was heartfelt. A true Kumbaya moment.
I don’t know, it must be something in the water down there. This woman was a MAGA Trump supporter. And yet she found the civility and humility to apologize for her error and ask forgiveness. And her neighbors were more than gracious to accept it and forgive her. They teach this stuff in Sunday school.
Now look, I’m not saying that Springfield, Ohio is Mayberry RFD. It’s not. Every town has problems, and so does Springfield. But the people of Springfield long ago came to terms with the fact that without the blessed influx of those 15,000 legal Haitian refugees, there would be no Springfield. When the Haitians started arriving, the town had a lower population than it did in 1920.
You don’t see news footage of enraged Springfield residents marching down the street to surround Haitian homes and apartments, chanting racial slurs and throwing rocks through windows. The towns ministers and clergy are out and about, preaching love and courage, and patience. No, it’s the bucket heads and Loud Toys that have descended on the town like locusts that are doing all the marching, screaming and threatening.
It was announced yesterday that in the next day or so, Trump’s personal diversity punk, the Ratty Swami is going to Springfield to hold what he sarcastically calls a roundtable on illegal immigration. That should be fun. Because unless he packs the venue with goose steppers and bedsheet banditos, he’s going to get a room full of highly pissed off local residents, And a good dose of old fashioned smalltown compassion and community will have his tiny MAGA brain exploding.
And now Traitor tot is vowing to personally view his self made carnage by visiting Springfield in the next two weeks. News Flash! for sh*t-for-brains. You’re not President anymore, thank God, you can’t just barge in. And if I’m the Mayor of Springfield, I’m hitting the airwaves today, this minute, to announce that Trump will have to lay down a $50 million surety bond before he can even start filling out the applications for his permits. That oughta make him think twice.
It’s incredible. Here you have a smallish town in Ohio that has done absolutely nothing to deserve the misery and mayhem that has been brought down on them by two pendejo jerk-offs. And yet, amid all the stress, fear and uncertainty, these folks are showing more grace, humility and Christian compassion than the whole damn MAGA movement put together. I’m sure there’s a biblical lesson there to be learned, but the pagan MAGA cult will never learn it.

Given the bloodshed they have always caused and will in the future, they are soulless demons with no desire to repent their evil ways. Funny we always hear Jesus’ saying to forgive over and over. The text always shows he requires repentance and a turning away from evil. No repentance? You reap what you sow. The only thing I’d say to that lady is if you plan to vote for trump/vance…your apology ain’t worth the breath you falsely used to utter it.
As someone working in Upstate NY and sees the so many Trumpers who are in fact genuinely nice warm people (but alas, politically extremely simplistic and unsophisticated) I can’t agree with you Scott. The apology was surely heartfelt and she is surely a really good human being. But as a Trump voter, she just cannot see the correlation between her Trump obsession and what an absolute monster of a non-human being he is. She just cannot see it. It’s a blindness.
I wonder if the lady who found it to apologize for the trouble she caused still supports don-old? Especially now after the two shit-for-brains candidates keep spreading this raw sewage every time they open their yaps.
