Connect the dots here. A Boulder district court judge ruled on March 12 that the 2018 ordinance banning possession of assault weapons could not be enforced, because state law says local governments can’t block possession or sale of firearms. Then on March 18, Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, the accused King Sooper’s shooter, purchased an AR-15, and kills ten people with it on March 22. But, on March 23, Congresswoman Greene and Senator Cruz set us all straight, that it’s the Democrats’ fault.

No Republican is going to buy that argument. Not if there’s still gun lobby money to be made.

And then along comes Ted Cruz to add his level of non-information and meaningless swill to the mix. “When you disarm law abiding citizens, you make them more likely to be victims.”

And then we get this genius, the unfortunately named John Kennedy of Louisiana.

“We have a lot of drug addicts who overdose. The answer is not to get rid of all the people who don’t take drugs.”

The GOP is the party of stupid, but then you knew that.

  1. Cruz has shown his ultimate desire to be known as the totally stupid Senator that cannot understand why reverse on a motor boat is rarely used getting from one side of the lake to the other …

He even looks like a Canadian Mounty that failed gun safety classes … and was asked to leave …

Yep, in a race to be the most stupid in Congress, he’ll be tough to beat … Senator Kennedy is making his move though …

  2. Alabama football coach watching forest Gump run a touchdown. “He must be the stupidest man alive…but he sure is fast.” Cruz can’t even walk at a decent pace, except to catch a plane to mexico.

  3. Cruz is flat-out lying. Kennedy forgets that cars and drivers are *regulated by law*, far more than firearms.
Fck the NRA and all its fans.

  4. Every time some despicable tool on the right brings up auto deaths, we need to confront them with “Are you agreeable then to the same regulation on guns as we do on vehicles — which serve another primary purpose other than killing, as guns do not?” Training, licensing, titles, registering etc.

    • Let’s add insurance to that list. I’m sure people who believe in “Personal Responsibility” would agree that if a gun owner is not using his gun responsibility he/she should pay up.
