Well, here’s an informative December, 2020 article from the Washington Post that lays out the fact that Trump-supporting Secret Service Agent Tony Oranto, who disputes in the Press, but not under oath, that he confided to Cassidy Hutchinson after the January 6th ellipse rally that their boss tried to hijack the Presidential Limo to lead his hillbilly hoards to their invasion of the US Capitol, was allowed by his agency to take a paid position as der Gropinfuhrer’s Deputy White House Chief of Staff for Operations- where he helped to organize the Orange one’s 2020 campaign “super-spreader” rallies, and also planned asshole’s photo-op-with-upside-down bible, for which Lafayette Square was cleared and demonstrators heads were cracked.
“The Secret Service also took the unprecedented step of allowing the former detail leader to temporarily leave his job to become a White House political adviser. Anthony Ornato was hired as White House deputy chief of staff earlier this year. In that role, he helped coordinate a controversial June photo opportunity in which Trump strode defiantly across Lafayette Square to pose with a Bible after the park was forcibly cleared of peaceful protesters.
Ornato also helped coordinate numerous rallies across the country during the pandemic, per Trump’s wishes. The mass gatherings were blamed for increasing the spread of the coronavirus in some of the communities where they took place and left many in the ranks of the Secret Service infected or exposed.”
The rest of the article explains how there was a major personnel overhaul of the Secret Service before Biden took office because of concerns of Trump loyalists in the Presidential detail.
I have no reason to question Oranto’s proficiency at either of his jobs although the post does note…
“More than 130 Secret Service officers and dozens of Secret Service agents helping to protect the president and vice president either tested positive for the coronavirus in 2020 or had to quarantine because of suspected contact with infected co-workers.”
And while Oranto is no longer in the Presidential Detail, he got a nice little kick up as Trump left the White House:
“Oranto will be leaving the White House and is slated to return to the Secret Service to become the assistant director overseeing the agency’s Rowley Training Center, according to the people familiar with the changes, who spoke on the condition of anonymity to describe personnel decisions. The posting is prestigious but outside of the president’s immediate protection team.”
And we may never know precisely whether or not he pulled Hutchinson aside to tell her about Trump’s Drive He Said moment but I find it interesting how Faux Spews is characterizing his denial…

I do not recall that Cassidy recounted the incident as anything so formal.
Ornato shouldn’t have been allowed to rejoin the SS after serving in a POLITICAL position in the WH. It makes him look biased.
He IS biased. President Biden should take him out of a position that TRAINS people. He is indoctrinating them to be zero worshipers. He should not even be in an official position at all.
Who cares if he’s denying, through a “friend”, that he told her that story? That was the least important thing she testified to, under oath. I find it hilarious that the only thing the wingnuts are disputing is this anecdote. No one has tried to impugn any other part of her testimony.
But she did testify that he related this to her directly. To their way of thinking, if they can dispute this effectively it means she lied. What he says to a reporter is of no consequence however. Until he says this under oath it means nothing…
No matter, they will say she lied regardless, they have to save their skins somehow.
Her testimony did include the fact that witnesses to the relating of this story were in the room when she heard it — none of whom have volunteered to testify under oath like she has or denied they were there to hear it.
