Trump needs to get right with MAGA. What’s left of MAGA. The Epstein files have led to a schism Trump never anticipated or would have thought possible.
As the saga rumbles on – fuelled by reports giving further details of Trump’s relationship with Epstein, and justice department meetings with Epstein’s partner in crime Ghislaine Maxwell – pro-Trump online spaces heavily invested in conspiratorial thinking are divided in much the same way as more mainstream Republicans.
Trump was friends with Epstein in the 1990s and early 2000s, but has not been accused of any wrongdoing as part of the investigations into his former friend.
According to Trump, the pair fell out in the early 2000s, two years before Epstein was first arrested. The White House has recently suggested that their fallout was connected to Epstein’s behaviour, and that “the president kicked him out of his club for being a creep”.
Although the contents of any unreleased documents remain unknown, the existing materials in the public domain mention a number of high-profile figures who were connected to Epstein – though that does not imply any illegal activity.
The president previously said he would be open to making public more information on Epstein. But he changed his position earlier this month, saying the case was closed.
The frustration over what many Americans see as a simple request is now being given voice by some prominent allies of the president.
“Look, I’m where I’ve been every time y’all ask me this question,” said Thom Tillis, a US senator in Trump’s Republican Party who has sometimes tangled with Trump. “Release the damn files.”
A lot of people echo Tillis’s opinion, on both sides of the aisle. And the plain fact remains, Trump said he would do just that, release the files. And nothing short of doing so is going to get him off the hook.

What caused the falling out? Epstein being a “creep” clearly didn’t bother for a very long time which got me to wondering. Something quite specific had to have gotten Trump pissed. Or someone. A certain wannabe Princess who was as I recall born in late 1981. She would have been in her late teens, at most twenty when this falling out happened. A tad old for Epstein but who’s to say when HE first started ogling her? We all know how Trumpty obsessed for decades, often publicly (including in front of her) about “dating” by which we all know he meant F**KING his daughter.
It’s easy to imagine Trumpty and Esptein bragging about their exploits and who they hadn’t yet “gotten around to” or missed out on. A comment from Epstein about only not “getting” Ivanka or perhaps even hinting he’d tried would be more than enough to set Trumpty off!
It’s a theory to be sure but it fits the facts. Hell, I have seen pictures of Ivanka sitting on his lap while she was growing up and the look on her face is anything but happy. I’ve wondered more than once if Trumpty didn’t try to groom her and even molest her during those years. He might not have been as into underage girls as Epstein but keep in mind how he openly bragged about walkling in on naked/half-naked beauty pageant contestants INCLUDING the teen ones – all UNDER 18. Then there’s that rape case of a 13 year old (wasn’t it alleged to have happened at Epstein’s NYC place?) that got dropped due to her being in fear for her life if she pursued it.

You’re right, but it had a lot to do with money. but not only money. It’s a little more interesting than that. This Palm Beach house had formerly belonged to Epstein’s business associate Les Wexner, and later to Abe Gorman, who went bankrupt. Epstein really loved the house, he intended to live in it not flip it. This was in 2004. Epstein had the high bid. Trump knew this and knew what it was because until then they were best buddies. Then Trump deliberately betrayed Epstein. He outbid him at the auction, paying over 41 million. Where he got the money is unknown. (Epstein was at that time way richer than Trump.) Trump didn’t even want the house, he just wanted to deny it to Epstein. After he got title Trump couldn’t sell it because it was already overvalued but he needed to make something on it. In 2008 he sold it to Russian billionaire Dmitry Rybolovlev for $95 million, which raised a lot of eyebrows, because that same year it had been appraised at only 30 million. And the amount Rybolovlev paid Trump for it was 20 mill higher than the asking price for a neighboring and much larger property.Furthermore this was just after the crash of 2008, when the real estate market fell considerably. The sale occurred shortly after Trump had filed for chapt. 11 bankruptcy and it got him out of a financial hole at a time when he couldn’t get loans from banks. Furthermore, Rybolyvlev never lived in the house, but over the next 8 years he would pay an additional 20 mill in taxes and maintenance. Finally in 2016 he tore down the house, subdivided the land and sold it off in parcels. You fill in the dots. Something to do with Russia maybe? It was investigated by Mueller as part of the whole topic of Trump’s business deals with Russia, and also by Sen. Wyden, though they did not come to any firm conclusion about it. The final lot was sold in July 2019, which was a little after the following article appeared, but I include it because it contains more interesting details:

I agree with everything you said. All those photos of ivanka sitting on daddy’s lap were taken to make Epstein jealous. He’s looking right in the camera as to say “look what I’ve got Jeff”

I’m not sure I agree that young Ivanka looked unhappy in those creepy photos of her on Daddy’s knee: I’ve seen many where she looks very much at home, appears to be lap-dancing in her short li’l skirt and seems to be enjoying the attention.
