Just a quick post, I thought this should be up as soon as possible.

The Russian version of our Secret service, The Federal Protection Service (FSO), thwarted an assassination attempt on President Vladimir Putin today, and it was not some lone-nut with a gun but a rather involved attempt by a barge to deposit explosives in a river underneath a bridge Putin would be crossing.

“After narrowly thwarting a civil war, Vladimir Putin escaped an attempted assassination thanks to Russian secret service members, RadarOnline.com has learned…

…According to the Kremlin’s security agency, Federal Protection Service (FSO) members thwarted a plan to kill Putin. The failed assassination attempt allegedly centered on an unnamed bridge that Putin and his motorcade were expected to travel over…

… The FSO was checking information about the preparation of an assassination attempt on Putin with the help of explosives at the bottom of the Moskva River, laid down from a barge,” read the Telegram channel’s post.

…When the “suspicious barge” was ordered to vacate the area, onlookers said divers were seen entering the water as a precaution “due to the movement of motorcades over the bridge.” FSO was said to have checked the barge’s papers, which claimed the boat was making repairs on the bridge.“

As you might guess twitters were all atweet…

Practice makes perfect.

I feel ya.

Yup

Him and drumpf both.

🙋🏻 Guilty also…

😂😂😂

Yup

Wouldn’t miss it.

Normally I would not wish harm on anyone.

But in this case I’ll make an exception.

  1. “I’ve never wished a man dead, but I have read some obituaries with great pleasure”

falsely attributed to Mark Twain, but always worth repeating.

I look forward keenly to reading Putin’s.

  2. A couple of random thoughts about the Twitter comments:

Marc (@GDoc2001) is wrong. Putin’s already at 11. We’re going to see him ramp it up to the previously believed never-attainable 12.

Combine Daniel Styslinger (@dan_styslinger) and HudsonValleyNY1 (@YoungWidowsHV) for a most interesting scene. As Batman and Robin are climbing the batrope up the side of a building, Vladimir Putin sticks his head out of a window to greet the Dynamic Duo and, just as they’re responding, Putin suddenly “falls out” of the window. Robin goes, “Holy defenestration, Batman. Shouldn’t we rescue him?” Batman responds, “No, chum. Gravity’s got him now. And that’s the one foe we can NEVER beat. Upwards, chum.”
