This is a ponderous and depressing thing to even think about, but in all fairness, it’s not that off the walls. Not in the least. Just the other day, Donald Trump, Jr., floated a trial balloon, about why were we allies with Ukraine when we could be allies with Russia?” That was on Twit/X and was swiftly shot down. Junior retracted it when it started to turn into a blowup. Evidently, when he posted, he didn’t think it would become a blow up. But that framing of the issue as pro-Russian, plus the beat up that both Vance and Trump did on Zelensky in the Oval Office was beyond disgusting. The cherry on the sundae was when Vance intoned “President Trump is doing diplomacy.” So all roads point to Moscow and that is what Rick Wilson has to say about it.
We are not the same nation today, February 28, 2025 that we were yesterday. We have crossed the Rubicon. And this has been coming for a while. Take a look at the video that Lincoln Project did before this travesty today. It may have been meant tongue in cheek a few days ago, now it has taken on a quality of literal truth.
Europe is woken up. That much we know. The question is how much protection and intelligence Trump will give/sell to Vladimir Putin. And who will go along with him in this endeavor? Every Republican in both chambers of Congress? What you saw in the Oval Office today was the first step to a massive world alignment, potentially. What you saw today was not American, that is for damn sure.
And the latest Zelensky news is that now he’s being asked if he should have “apologized” for the beatdown he got today. I give him all credit, he said he didn’t do anything wrong. And he did not. But this is the stupidity of the press in this country, coupled with the duplicity and sheer evil in the White House now.
And we thought Watergate was a dark and awful time? Say what you will about Nixon, he never would have stooped to this.

yes Nixon would have done the same thing however, he got caught.
No, not even Nixon would be a traitor to his country, and a sell-out to a foreign power like this.
The worst thing Nixon did was make a secret deal with South Vietnam in order to sabotage the peace talks. This is probably what was behind Watergate, in the sense that he was afraidpeople would find out what he had done, but since it never came out at the time. Not sure if that qualifies as treason, but it led to the deaths of a lot more American soldiers, Vietnamese on both sides, and particular the destruction of Cambodia which led right into the reign of the Khmer Rouge and the deaths of million of Cambodians. Since the tyrant of Cambodia, Hun Sen, now the longest-reigning dictaetor in the world, was actually a member of the Khmer Rouge, that horrible intrigue of Nixon’s had huge long-term consequences.

Bring him up on treason charges. That’s a death penalty isn’t.
