Right On Cue, RWNJ Pins Trump Frame Up On Deep State

I don’t think you need a lot of imagination as to how this is all going to go next. Donald Trump has already set up the basic narrative, dropping names like Hillary, Obama, the Steele Dossier, all the usual suspects into his screed to MAGA this weekend, telling them to back down from the Epstein files. Now we have a right-wing *pastor* who is telling his flock, and anybody else who will listen, that the Epstein files will be revealed but they will be filled with fake information about Trump. This is the pre-conditioning to get people ready for the worst, with a disclaimer tacked on the end. What better way to do that than to sow the seeds of doubt now?

Wallnau has no idea and his comments are fact free, but his posture on the issue is the point. No matter what is revealed about Trump in the course and scope of an investigation, it’s all lies.

This is the way this misadministration functions nowadays. Just look at the floods in Texas. There is lots of evidence of:

1. National Weather Service people being let go;
2. Austin on a skeleton staff of weather analysts and meteorologists;
3. The FEMA alerts going out;
4. Local officials not following up on them;
5. People dying, when in fact there was time to evacuate, had things been handled properly.

Last week was nothing but scandal over the details of the latest Trump screw up which has cost lives. But what did the people hear? That Trump is deliriously happy with the wonderful job Kristi Noem and everybody else is doing. And if you ask Kristi Noem about her screw ups, “fake news.”

Here’s another example. This you will love. The New York Post lied (not surprisingly) about this event but even the Bezos Bugle Washington Post said that the reaction to Trump was “mixed.”

The New York Post is a propaganda rag. Again, and always, I cannot handle what has happened to the Washington Post. I was talking journalism classes in college when Ben Bradlee was the editor and Woodward and Bernstein toppled the Nixon government. Or rather, the Nixon government toppled itself, but they were there to report it. To see the Washington Post descend to the level that it has is truly depressing.

But a half century is a long time. Many things have happened for the worse in the past five decades. And by the time Trump is out of office, you will feel you’ve lived yet another five decades, compressed into four years.
