This is not going according to plan, not a tall a tall. Somebody in Trump world, very likely Trump himself, told Pam Bondi “make this go away.” And evidently Trump believed that it could happen that way. It most absolutely cannot. Trump ran on a platform of exposing pedophiles. This is the foundation of QAnon and it bleeds over into the evangelical wing of the party (which you are about to hear from and boy are they pissed) who believe that Trump is chosen by God to rout out the evil pedophiles and adrenachrome drinkers. Nobody is buying Bondi’s sudden 180 degree reversal on Jeffrey Epstein, not the mainstream press, not the Democrats, but most problematically of all, not the right-wing media and MAGA.
Pam Bondi should resign—not because of a cover-up, but for incompetence.

There are a few issues here: You recall Bondi saying yesterday during the cabinet meeting that the one-minute gap (what is it with Republicans and tape gaps?) was “normal” because that’s when the old tape ends and the new tape begins. Maybe that’s so. But that’s alarming information on its face, if true, because then that’s the perfect time for somebody to do something.
One minute can be an eternity. You can drown in a minute. You can certainly murder somebody in a minute. People have fatal heart attacks and strokes in a minute. So perhaps somebody on the inside knew about the one minute tape issue and exploited that weakness in the system.
The entire reporting on Epstein’s death has always stunk on ice. This “investigation” of Bondi’s is par for the course. And yes, the coroner ruled it was suicide and this is the one and only time that I’m going to say that without wanting to sound like a conspiracy theorist, I simply don’t believe the coroner.
What I believe is that there was foul play and how that foul play might have been disguised to plausibly look like suicide is the question here: and I don’t know the answer and if somebody does, we have yet to hear from them. In a perfect world, or even a reasonable one, and we live in neither, the FBI and the DOJ would have come forward with that information; or at least a plausible theory or theories.
Glenn Beck makes some interesting techical points here but the biggest point of all is that MAGA is livid with Pam Bondi. And they are not buying the “no client list” spiel of hers and worst of all, they are not going away. MAGA wants to know about Jeffrey Epstein.
So yes, Donald, when you ask, “Are you STILL talking about Epstein?” The answer is a resounding YES! Enquiring MAGA minds want to know. They are not going away. And that is Donald Trump’s hilarious conundrum, that he’s cornered here and it is his own MAGAs that are cornering him. Nobody else.
He has to satisfy them with Epstein’s client list but if he’s one of the most prominent people on it, then what will that do? Obviously Trump doesn’t want to find out, or he wouldn’t have had Bondi try this tactic of cover up, which isn’t working at all. So what’s next?

I think it’s obvious that trump and others would have been scrubbed from any evidence or list but if that were the case something would be ready to go. it obviously isn’t which suggests the unaltered material still exists which seems odd to me. I suppose it’s possible everything was destroyed. let’s see bondi explain that.
In the meantime, House GOPers are investigating Biden’s alleged fitness during his Presidency, including having his personal doctor in front of the committee testifying–the doctor invoked his 5th Amendment privileges as well as doctor-patient confidentiality and, of course, the Goon Squad is claiming that “proves” a conspiracy. (Meanwhile it’s crickets on investigating the Administration’s culpability in the Texas flooding disaster as well as any investigation of Drumpf’s own medical issues–starting with the missing report following his hospital visit after the “assassination attempt.”)
No attempt so far to blame the missing list on the Democratic Party.
