Once again, friends, a member of the Republican House Caucus has to add insult to injury, slander to tragedy and stupidity to discourse. Anything to defend the gun lobby the day after another mass murder spree. The latest defecation into the political groundwaters comes from none other than Paul Gosar.

Here’s what that looks like.

First of all, it’s not factual. So why put it out there? It’s a disinformation spew, meant to put the blame on the other side of the culture war — “it was one of YOURS, not not of our gun crazies.”

Here are a few other gems from his Twitter feed in the past 24 hours. He’s on a roll.

The man is a conspiracy theorist and a lunatic. Even his own family agrees. And his own family points out that he manages to survive because he’s in a heavily gerrymandered district. I can only assume that his district is heavy on homophobia and illegal aliens coming in to take over. Maybe space aliens, too.

Here’s what’s circulating on right-wing media.

This is who Gosar is. He stirs up fear of the other. It’s one of the Mexicans, coming over the border, it’s one of the gays, it’s one of the lefties, and no matter what, it’s all a conspiracy and you should be afraid of the other, very afraid. No, you should be afraid of the gun lobby and the lack of mental health care in this country. That’s who and what you should be legitimately afraid of.

The man is not morally fit to hold office and his physical and mental capacity to do so is also questionable.
