Disneyland was new, Sputnik was interesting, Khrushchev was a little weird slamming his loafer on the U.N. podium, but nothing’s perfect, right? The baby boom happened as an entire generation was awash in the joy of celebrating winning WWII. Credit cards came into being and no payment down was the promise to a generation of Americans getting ahead in what was a golden age, the post-war boom years. And so the newsreels of the era gave forth those happy tidings, and little did any of us know what would lie ahead as we entered our “golden years” a half century later, with this consummate Orange Orangutan playing a major role in our lives.

Think of an antique Chippendale with a plastic flatware compartment for a drawer and that’s how this administration’s “cabinet” fits into the historical framework of things. And yes, we need to have Elon and Karoline focusing on the Evils of USAID — because if they’re not, OMG, the Senate hearings might be drawing the proper amount of attention and can’t have that.

But of course they’re doing it under the guise of USAID being a tool for radical left-wing madhouse squandering of billions.

Scott, I’ll never understand why Joe Biden didn’t go after Trump as soon as the dust from 6 January had sorta settled. His DOJ went after the foot thugs who’d actually ravaged the Capitol but the leader-in-chief, the orange Fuhrer, was left to golf and foment more treason while AG Garland proved absolutely useless. Hell, it was Biden’s presidency that Trump was undermining; wouldn’t you think ol’ Joe would take it seriously enough to find someone like Jack Smith immediately after the attack? But he didn’t, he left it way too late and now we have Trump to show us all how to abuse the powers which Biden could and should have employed properly, legally, in defense of our democracy.
