Only Donald Trump and The Shadow know exactly what he’s worried about the January 6 Select Committee discovering, but it must be something hefty for him to be going off the deep end like he is. Trump issued a statement yesterday and he’s in livid mode.

CNN:

The Biden administration has already declined to assert executive privilege over some testimony related to January 6, telling former Justice Department officials that they were free to provide “unrestricted testimony.” But the administration has not weighed in on whether the committee should have unrestricted access to records and documents from the Trump White House.
The document requests from the House select committee echo those previously issued by other House committees in the aftermath of the January 6 riot, while significantly broadening the search to other areas and people inside and outside government. Specifically, the select committee is asking for records from the Department of Justice, Department of the Interior, Department of Defense, the Office of the Director of National Intelligence, the Federal Bureau of Investigation, the National Counterterrorism Center, the Department of Homeland Security and, perhaps most importantly, the National Archives — the custodian of the Trump administration White House records. […]
The list of targets is long and varied, ranging from information about attempts to either carry out or defy Trump’s orders, invoke the insurrection act, martial law or the 25th Amendment, as well as for communications regarding members of the Trump White House, campaign, January 5 and January 6 rally organizers, and even alleged members of far-right extremist groups such as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers.
“The Select Committee to Investigate the January 6th Attack on the United States Capitol is examining the facts, circumstances, and causes of the January 6th attack. Our Constitution provides for a peaceful transfer of power, and this investigation seeks to evaluate threats to that process, identify lessons learned and recommend laws, policies, procedures, rules, or regulations necessary to protect our republic in the future,” committee Chairman Rep. Bennie Thompson, a Democrat from Mississippi, wrote in a statement Wednesday.
Between the 01/06 Committee and the Capitol Police officers’ suit, Trump world is going to be very busy answering a lot of questions. Interesting how life has consequences, isn’t it? Trump isn’t going to be able to buy his way out of this one. The 01/06 Committee asked the National Archives for “all documents and communications within the [Trump] White House” from a number of Trump’s allies, including Hope Hicks, Robert O’Brien, Peter Navarro, Kayleigh McEnany, Steve Bannon, Michael Flynn, Melania Trump, Eric Trump, Donald Trump Jr., Ivanka Trump, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Rudy Giuliani and Roger Stone. That’s a pretty wide net. It should catch a few fish.

  1. This is the result of malignant Narcissm which has NO ability to take responsibility & excuses the worst behaviors. Everyday average men, with no income, are led out of court in handcuffs & leg irons cuz they have no job & can’t pay child support. Issue court orders. Bring them to court under arrest if they don’t comply & put them in jail for contempt. Our legal system does it EVERYDAMNDAY. When the rich thumb their noses & nothing happens, then the TRUTH is exposed, which is this system was set up by the rich to oppress the poor. Someday the fucking poor may rise up but I’m afraid not until the climate is past the tipping point, democracy is officially dead, & our children go into the school with crayons, & come out in body bags. Too late then aholes.

  2. That fall off his pedestal of self-importance, one festering in his own mind for decades, will have to hurt immensely, his funds, stolen from supporters, thinking he is going to run for re-instatement and win … he will, by the sheer collapse of everything Trump reduce the shitgibbon to a lowly cow pie out in the field of lost dreams and criminal charges …

He really has fewer possibilities every day, if he can even find ANYONE to defend him, it will be a risky situation … the biggest boys are likely to speak up at his trial … “Judge this man is guilty as charged”, turning to Trump he will say, “Thanks for the 10 million dollars, Don”, better luck another day …

Personally, I’ve never seen a guy swallow his own tongue, this may be the talk of ages …
