When committing crimes is in your blood it’s in your blood. And it is in Donald Trump’s blood, no question about that. Maybe it’s in his DNA as well. His grandfather ran brothels and moonshine in the Yukon back in the day. That was the honorable part, because he was providing a necessary service to miners. The dishonorable part was how he ripped them off. Trump’s latest foray into murky criminal realms is the alleged “sale” of Mar-a-Lago to Donald Trump, Jr., for $422,000,000 a few weeks ago. Isn’t that intriguing?

Trump bought Mar-a-Lago in 1985 for $2,000,000 then in 1994 made it into the Mar-a-Lago club. In all events it’s not worth $422,000,000. There are palaces in Bel Aire, California that make Mar-a-Lago look like an ancient dowager trying to compare with a young supermodel and they cost a lot less.

You see where this is going. This is all Trump knows. He’s a con man. He will be conning and grifting until the day he dies. And people want to put him in charge of the public coffers?

    • We’re going to see a lot of legal analysis on this. Maybe it’s a kind of early inheritance and Trump would have given Mar-a-Lago to Junior anyhow. Or maybe he wanted to give it to Ivanka and she said keep me out of this.

    • There’s a lot of legal machination going on right now. Not just this but Truth Social is breathing its last. That’s the only reason Trump went back to “X.” That must have been hard for him, giving Elon Musk the satisfaction of knowing Musk’s social media platform is where he had to run to because his own is going into the toilet.

  1. If this information is correct, he’s just made himself a target for yet another investigation, à la Letitia James. The astronomical purchase price by a corporation is an indicator of money laundering. Just blows me away that this guy doubles down on everything he does. Ninety-one indictments aren’t enough.

    • It’s 91 counts in four indictments, but hey, you could be right. He might get to 91 indictments. And we can sing a song about it, like 96 bottles of beer on the wall. “91 indictments made for Trump’s fall, 91 indictments cheer cheer.”

  2. Here’s how, if they can ever stop obsessing over Trump’s mugshot newsies can frame this: Where did Junior get 422 million? Given the issues Pootie and the Oligarchs have these days I don’t even see THEM floating that kind of cash for a mortgage. And unlike Jared I doubt Don Jr. got his hands on any classified material to sell to the Saudis, or China. At least not as much as Jared traded for all the money he suddenly got.

Property ownership records are public documents so maybe there are some hungry young investigative journalists who will start there, and dig into whatever corporate entity(s) Junior supposedly heads are really all about. Alas, this being FL the authorities there sure as hell won’t be doing any digging. But clearly this is either a case of Trump trying to protect an asset as preparation for having to file PERSONAL bankruptcy or money laundering. Or a combination of both.

    • When you have an inflated transfer like that it screams “money laundering.” I’ll bet Trump wanted to get Ivanka involved and she passed on it. I think Trump strong armed Junior.

Poor Junior. He should have stayed in Denver and tended bar. Seriously. He could have a house in the suburbs, where I grew up, and talk about his a-hole father in New York, whom he hates and he would have done ok.

  3. SOMEONE owns the mortgage on Smarmy Lardo. You can’t convince me trumpleforeskin actually PAID for something. Everything he “buys”, he leverages with loans. I don’t think that piece of real estate is his to “sell”.

    • You can count on this being researched carefully. There are too many red flags here. If this is fraudulent transfer then there’s another crime. He just can’t stop breaking the law.

    • The timing is what’s raising red flags. That’s what I want to know about. And I seriously doubt that Junior gave daddy $422 million. I don’t think Junior’s got that kind of money.

  4. Helluva tax write-off when it’s under water. Oh yeah, I forgot, climate change and rising ocean is just another liberal conspiracy.

    • What I think will happen here is that there will be an investigation of this, maybe Leticia James style. This is the kind of thing the Trump Organization was famous for in New York.

  5. I guess my question is this: there is little chance dimwit jr. has 422 million so how is this a “sale”? I’m not a banker, but little dimwit does not inspire the confidence, have the collateral nor employment prospects a bank needs to loan that kind of money.
