The only person who likes to play the Trump as Victim card more than Trump himself is Sean Hannity. Evidently it makes for good ratings, or perhaps used to. But tonight, for reasons perhaps best known to Hannity himself, he did a preemptive strike on Maggie Haberman, ripping her to shreds not for anything in particular, just on general principle. Take a look at this, it’s very strange.

Why prevaricate for over a minute and a half over nothing specific? Unless, there is something specific that Hannity got wind of, or if they’re just getting their audience warmed up for a massive Trump story in the not too distant future — which considering that Allen Weisselberg is most probably going to be indicted in the next four to eight weeks, is not a far fetched proposition at all.
It may be that Fox News is hedging its bets, so that when the next shoe drops, they’ve already got the audience revved up and salivating and all Hannity will have to do is say, “See? I told you so. I told you that they were out to get Trump and now look at what they did today.”
That’s what makes sense to me. Otherwise, if that’s not the case, then this is just a tacky hit piece. And it’s not the first one. Seth Meyers upset Sean Hannity a while back and Hannity lashed out at him on the air, calling Meyers a “hypocritical asshole” and a limousine socialist. Fox News is indeed the grievance channel. I’m surprised that they don’t have more commercials for stomach medication. If I had free floating, generalized rage like this, I am sure that I would have an ulcer, at the very least.
Or maybe they just need to sell the sturm und drang because when you have no substance, you need to go for melodrama. But here is the classic irony: Donald Trump is a New Yorker. He’s now being called to defend numerous allegations, both civil and criminal in the State of New York. How oh how can the New York Times NOT report on him? But obviously what Hannity wants to do is spin that coverage into “giving Biden a pass” and ongoing persecution of Trump. It’s the usual Fox pivot and deflect. Good luck guys. Your programing may have to change as your star misfit gets himself into hotter and hotter water.
Hannity doesn’t really want Trump back as President. His ratings would tank even more than they already have. Fox “News” and all the other right-wing hack sites may fool the rubes into believing the country needs a right-wing president and Congress but they know they lose all-important ratings when “their” people are in office. If Trump were still there, Gaetz and MTG and all the other loonies in Congress wouldn’t get any airtime (Trump and, more importantly, his ego wouldn’t allow anyone else to take the spotlight *unless* Trump were somehow unavailable at the moment–say, between 7 and 11 am and then again between 4 and 7 pm when he’s napping). And the right-wing viewers couldn’t get riled up over whatever “outrage of the day” would exist because any troubles would be the result of “their” people’s own failures.
I think Hannity himself bears some good old, “outrage”, from those with the goods on him … he has floated Trump along with his own plans of action in continuous contact by I’m sure speed dial buttons on Trump’s phone …
I unfortunately cannot remember the details, but if I remember the court action, it seems a certain shaved head lawyer working with Stormy to collect funds from Trump, found Hannity, under an alias doing bad stuff himself … of course, the Stormy lawyer was found to have some of his own problems as well …
It just seems like the dome over Trump’s friends and relatives is faltering more each day, perhaps Hannity got a leak from a friend somewhere and he can ALSO see the bright orange color of the new digs/suits for trump and his kids, including Jarhead himself … all at the end of a narrow, short, slippery tunnel to prison …
Hannity and Haberman. I can’t even remember what Haberman was reporting on the other day. I remember seeing her but can’t recall what she was talking about. Someone should ask Tucker what is going on. It seems he is the big gossip at FOX.

As for your socialism charge, have you ever thought about how much government services you utilize? For all conservative’s attempts to privatize it the Post Office (which is provided for in the actual Constitution!) is still there doing it’s job in spite of DeJoy’s and other’s efforts to dismantle it. Have you been sending (or opening and reading) EVERY bit of correspondence (private or business stuff) via private services like UPS or FedEx? I rather doubt it. Ever been to a doctor and had medical procedures or taken pills, and prior to Trump polliticizing them have you ever been vaccinated for anything? The vast majority of all this got started with seed money for research via the federal government via the NIH. And if you or a loved one have ever utilized the VA health care system, Medicaid or Medicare guess what? That’s government funded/provided health care! Ever taken a drive on a paved public road including federal and Interstate highways? Again, more “socialism” at work. Police and fire/rescue services? That’s the government. I could keep going but since you may have stopped reading I won’t bother except to make this last point:
If there are free and fair elections (which according to TRUMP”S OWN APPOINTEES INCUDING BILL FUCKING BARR!) we all get a choice in how much services the government provides and the priorities for spending. The people have at least some say in things, as compared to what is apparently your preference of a handful of obscenely rich people accountable to no one but their own greed making the decisions. And if you’re old enough to remember the before and after of Reaganomics and the accompanying partnership with massive efforts at deregulation then if you have even a tiny bit of objectivity then it’s not hard to see the link between flattening household income for most Americans, the giant leap in the wealth gap between the top few percent and everyone else, and plenty of other problems squeezing the average American.
